I'm not arguing either way on that. I'm just saying that people complained about the XBL Gold cost to play online and gave that as a big reason for wanting PS3's. Now people are willing to let Sony do the same thing and accept it. Honestly, the main reason most are accepting it, is because of the current opinions on the Xbone. If microsoft hadn't done so much to alienate their consumers, the monthly subscription might seem like a bigger flaw. But when you compare them with current opinions, the monthy subscription isn't seen as bad because of the extra negative stigma the Xbone carries with it. |

I'm not arguing either way on that. I'm just saying that people complained about the XBL Gold cost to play online and gave that as a big reason for wanting PS3's. Now people are willing to let Sony do the same thing and accept it. That is all I was committing on. I'm an Xbox fanboy and I know it. I could care less about trade in. I own 1 game disc, and that is BF3. Every other game that I own, is digital. All of my old discs I either gave away or brought back to Gamestop. Once I could get them online, I figured why should I go to Gamestop? I have 2 games pre-ordered, BF4 and SC: Black List, both disc games, but whatever, doesn't really matter that much to me. There's nothing wrong with the PS4, but really, other than a hardware upgrade, it doesn't offer anything that PS3 doesn't. XB1, gives me more features, as far as the media control is concerned. I personally like the idea of having one box to rule them all. Makes since I'm a gamer so those features are pointless to me, and ps4 will still have netflix and internet for my **** that's all the media I need To expand on that a bit: From day one of the PS4, 150,000 movies and TV shows will be available to the "Video Unlimited" service on the PlayStation Network. "Music Unlimited" offers 20 million-plus songs to stream across PlayStation platforms, Android devices, and iPhones. All the usual suspects join these two when it comes to available servicesGÇöNetflix, Amazon Instant, MLB TV. And Lynton did announce new partners such as Red Box (and its 7,000 movies) and Flixster. Do you have to pay for it? Music unlimited already exists, which you do have to pay for. The same for Netflix, Amazon Instant, MLB TV. But you probably won't have to pay Sony if that's what you're asking. Those services don't use Sony servers. |
