As for lip-service, hmm. I'm typing this :P

If you used to think like me, then find your integrity again and play for the other aspects you'll be pursuing. If not that, save yourself on electric bills and turn off your PS3 when you AFK. Once things are fixed for real, we'll be getting enough numbers that you won't need to worry about not being one of the "max SP 1337"
Who said anything about wanting max SP? If they don't fix my weapon, I'm not going to fight. Take an AR, ADS while you're shooting a red dot and imagine that even though you're shooting directly at your target, your shots wind up pulling to the left or if they would hit their mark, they go directly through your target. Now imagine that the devs tell you they have a fix but you have to wait until the next major update and you're SOL until then. Welcome to my world. I would just stop playing altogether but I still need to farm SP for an AR since its the only serviceable weapon in the goddamned game. They have to wait for the next client update because SONY wants to look through every change CCP makes to the client. This is both costly and time intensive and CCP is not going to pay a large sum of cash and possibly not get 1.2 through QC without delay just to put one single fix out two weeks before actual patch comes.
I feel your pain about this issue but please try to understand that there's more to it than CCP beeing d!cks about it. |

ahem...
This game has major issues. We can talk about it. relax. no one is going to take your game away from you.
And Sony isn't the problem. That's just inventing excuses. Who are you even talking to? If that sony remark is a response to my post. Did you understand what i just wrote? Do you have justification for saying it's just an "excuse"?

This is a very good point, however CCP would do well to inform us all of when these things are happening. Something like an announcement stating when (semi-specifically) they intend to submit the update to Sony QC for approval, and the patch notes. Communication is KING! Eliminate the cloak and dagger routine. This is the most current devpost i can find on this issue and it mentions the need for clientside changes. To be fair though, it does not explain why client side changes have to wait for the larger patch so it's understandable that those stuck with a broken gun are not charmed. That's why i tried to give a little explanation on why this cannot (feasibly) be hotfixed as the available info is not sufficient without this bit of knowledge. |

We both have agreed on more than one occasion that communication both ingame and out of the game is painfully lacking and i believe that most of what happens on the forums lately is a direct result of that.

You think they would learn their lesson after the EVE forums used to be like this due to, what else? lack of communication... ...and 70$ monocles but yeah. We have to remember though that CCP shanghai are different people for the most part, so we have a new team that will have to get their behind whipped on their own.

Do you have justification for saying it's just an "excuse"? Um, I'm talking to you. I guess you figured it out and blew a gasket? lolz. I did understand what you just wrote. But I seriously doubt you do. Sony is not responsible for the development problems with dust. To say it is, is to make an excuse on CCPs part. My justification is that mostly, that's all conjecture, at best, on your part. You do not know that as fact. In addition, many developers in the world have worked with sony, for better or good, to release their games, DLC, patches, and what have you for years. They have an established protocol to release such things. Sony outlined it mostly unchanged quite awhile ago. Apple and microsoft do the same checks that sony does. It is all very predictable, and has no bearing whatsoever on development itself. Got it? Good. so it's an excuse you made up. now run along. I never said SONY would be responsible for the development problems with dust. I adressed a very specific issue and you choose to argue against something else, so i just go ahead and provide something beyond conjecture.

This shows that sony doesn't even have to delay the actual development to delay a release. Quality Assurance (yeah is said QC, that's wrong) obviously takes time and and people and unless you assume that sony has unlimited human resources that don't need to be paid you can hazard the guess that CCP pays for this process every time they submit an update. |

Cosgar wrote:What happened to QC with DC Universe Online? I'm not familiar with DCUO and therefore completely oblivious to their updating schedule but i can just assume that they pack their client updates in batches just as CCP does or suck up the increased cost for more granular updates.
Edit: Based on this wiki their updates are similarly spaced to dust (1.1 was the last 1.2 will be the next). This assumes that i'm looking at the right game/wiki, of course. |

Yea. So you are making up scenarios you don't know much about. FACT. This game has been in development for years. FACT. They had a long time between chromosome and uprising. FACT. Sony didn't delay a gaddamn thing for CCP. FACT. run along. Wow you won, just stop mutilating the term "fact" as if it makes everything magically true or relevant to the topic at hand. |

DCUO is still riddled with bugs and glitches from launch and at times can be unplayable. The pop in is actually worse than Dust 514 and Borderlands put together. I totally misunderstood your question then, but yeah. I don't think SONY cares that much for "minor" bugs as long the game runs and doesn't kill the console. |

Yes I agree and sympathize with those players as well because I can relate. I cannot use the dropsuit I wish to use, though not because it is bugged -- it simply hasn't been added to the game. I want the rail rifle so badly
