...The CCP Shanghai office enjoys an extended weekend.
Serioulsy, CCP, your game is in dire need of work. How do you justify taking a 3 day hiatus when there is so much work to be done? It's bad enough this game doesn't receive updates on weekends, in its current state, you should all be working on fixes 24/7, and pushing updates and hotfixes on a daily basis. You should be scrambling to save your game, not enjoying the Dragon Boat festival, or whatever other events have prevented you from working in the past.
It almost feels like the game has been given up on, when devs take time off with so much that needs fixing, just to make the game somewhat playable for a large part of your community |

Can they chill? They already gotta put with with how bad their game is and the constant whining from players . I say rest and then get their asses back to work!
My point is that this is no time to rest. This is a time to save their game, and their jobs.
I don't think CCP has grasped the seriousness of the situation here. The majority of players haven't invested a single dime on this game, so moving on from it is alot easier than, say, a retail game, or even moreso a subscription based mmo. They need to realize that they don't have entire months to implement patches and updates, because the majority of the playerbase has no real reason to stay if the game doesn't improve, or at least seems to be trying to, on a weekly, if not daily basis.
Saying they are going on vacation and leaving us with this clearly unfinished mess is as good as shoving a middle finger in the face of the players. And believe me, players do respond to this. |

I have, but there seems to be an excessive amount of these sorts of downtimes for the devs. Maybe a Shanghai office wasn't such a great idea for an mmofps, seeing as any mmo worth its salt requires constant supervision. |

Chill?! If there was any more chilling, the office would be frozen solid! At least that's the way it appears to the community, as we have no idea what is actually going on there, what's on the worktable and such. |

Have you any understanding of stress and how it affects peoples' work? If you did you would know that overworking your staff can lead to your product being worse off. Something (and I'll think you'll agree) isn't exactly needed right now. Next time pause and think before your arrogance causes you to post such nonsense.
Any company with a product in the same state as this game is currently in should be stressed. My point is, if a company needs to save one of it's products from failing, going to a boat festival seems to be the opposite of what needs to be done.
The issue here is, as stated before, that we have no idea what is being worked on at the moment. If the team would give us tangible progress updates, instead of just updates on the time off they are taking, maybe the playerbase wouldn't be dwindling, and those of us who actually care about the success of this game wouldn't have to worry so much. |
