To me it's pretty simple. If you truly like PS2 better then play that.
I have it on my PC, play it occasionally. I don't really find it that fun for a very long time. Best part about PS2 is doing sky tricks in the fastest attack ship.
Point is if one likes to play something else soo much more, then go do that. For every person who thinks PS2 will be the death of DUST there is probably another that doesn't give a $**T about PS2. |

No matters the metagame elements , not matters anything that suround the game no matters hopw many cool options you can have
The basic core mechanics of the game are broken
I agree with the 3 things, but really I have PS2 and have put about 10 hours into it. Movement, and shooting aren't really improved from anything past some old school counter strike. Gameplay is highly opinionated so I'm not touching that one.
I get the comparrison and contrast of the 2 games but PS2 is by no means a fluent tactical shooter. Graphics wise it's pretty bland for a PC game. I figure if it doesn't look very impressive on PC it's not going to look much better on PS4.
I don't know, I have a friend who swears how fun PS2 is for him to play. I just don't see it. Eye of the beholder is my summary. |

The long term presence of DUST is something I hope works out, especially with the future hardware to come out. For me the Battlefield series is starting to make titles too quickly, just like CoD has been. (the last CoD I played was #2 The WW2 one)
I am the kind of person that I like to find a couple of games I enjoy the hell out of and play those for a long time. So putting a lot of time into most MP shooters seems a total waste of time to me because I know all of my efforts will be updated and replaced by a completely carbon copy update.
So without kissing any arses here, I see the grinding work being done on DUST, I see the hardware coming out, and I see the timeframes. Pretty much as long as people play the game and this company keeps working on it, it will be one of the few persistent shooters without some "updated" release that completely voids your efforts. |
