If you look in here http://eve-offline.net/?server=dust It looks like it stopped growing. I do say this playerbase is still low for an mmofps game. If they fixed most problems and add new content like pve, expansions or others we might see an increase. |

I was actually expecting a steep dropoff after two to three weeks so i'm cautiously optimistic that we have a playerbase base that can be built upon.
Also nice redesign, Chribba. It's much easier to look at single datapoints now. |

Also nice redesign, Chribba. It's much easier to look at single datapoints now. Likewise, after the initial peak of 9,000 I was expecting it to drop far off, but we've been pretty stable at around 7,000 online at any given time for a while now. And think about it, before release we were at 4,000. So of the gained 5,000 players online at any given time, 3,000 of them stayed. I honestly was expecting it to be on the other side of 50% (and of course this is only using numbers from players online not total active players).
And to everyone who did stick with Dust, I think it's pretty safe to assume we'll see a nice attachment rate. So we can expect the player base to consistently grow with every expansion, much like EVE has. The PVE update will likely provide a pretty big boost in player base by itself. |

Honestly though I didn't expect to see a massive drop off, the game is probably only marginally above the level rusted on base of beta players, returned beta burn outs and organised EVE players anyway.
I wouldn't be cheering over the numbers given all the hype. |
