Alright CCP, I have a very big complaint here.
TL;DR: Nova Knifing is rendered to half useful because of hit detection.
There have been countless occasions in which I have attacked and struck mercs up close and personal especially when me and my target are locked in what I like to call the dance of death. But in about 60-70% of these wild encounters I have noticed that my knife attacks don't seem to register any damage onto my target even though I am right there up against them to the point of hugging them. This is made even most apparent when the target is moving in any direction and even far more apparent when I am chasing them. As I chase my targets, I have no problem catching up especially on the heavies. But even as I am so close to them that their back side is filling up my TV screen, my knife attacks don't deal any damage at all unless they stop sprinting.
This is getting ridiculous CCP. My knives are my main weapon and I am unable to stab a fat, slow heavy so long as he is sprinting away from me even though I am right on top of him like ranch sauce on buffalo wings. The same thing happens when I attack a logi, assault, and other scouts.
You really need to fix this because I am having too many moment in which my target should be dead but they are not dead because hit detection saved their lives. |

This. This needs to be addressed as well. It never made any sense that one can run at the exact same speed backward as they did forward. |

Well, the heavy is not suppose to turn so fast and the scout's speed is its only defense. Once the bullets on the HMG touch the scout, that dude is dead because the scout has such an incredibly weak shield and armor. Hell, just 2-3 shots from a tactical is enough to kill the scout. |
