Just wandering when the next Dust update will be, to improve upon the game!?
LOOOL!! *sniggers*
CCP seriously.
Please refocus your development road map.
Forget about these promised game modes and EVE features, and focus on core gameplay mechanics.
None of use really care about new game modes and features, if the core gameplay sucks.
It's the truth. The hateful truth. We know it, you know. Everyone knows.
This game should still be in beta, despite how you released EVE online, this game shouldn't follow the same path of being continuously improved upon depending on players 'feedback'. It shouldn't take us to tell you that the physics and mechanics of this game aren't suitable for a good FPS.
Final release feels rushed, and unnecessary. Seems as though you guys tried to release the game a few months before the PS4 just to make us stick around.
Not quite the right way to go guys :/
Lots of potential and talented people at CCP - exploit that!
Peace,
just wanted to get that off my chest.
No trolling intended. |

The Dust Team is multi faceted what one team does the other team is not an expert on. So those responsible for physics controls and balance are not responsible for orchestrating the server being able to orchestrate an orbital artillery strike to smack a pesky destroyer out of the sky, is not responsible for allowing players to trade with each other, is not responsible on how the new suits look like.
There are teams and members constantly trying to keep the technical debt low but right now Dust 514 is missing a bit of everything from new player experience, to having enough types of guns, to have enough maps, to having enough game modes, to having enough reason to fight on maps. These are all missing and it does require many of the features on the roadmap.
Core will continue to be refined, making a good FPS at the core with all colors, models, and sounds removed is still something most people cannot do overnight and takes too much trial and error and some games which had gotten it right seem to have lost their way such as ID software. |

Well said but I guess that is a good thing because Dust will go forward all at once it would be dumb to focus an entire team of what 200 people? On one thing. With the teams developing Dust we will see core mechanics, new content, market, and so on all slowly emerge at once.

So basically what you're saying is that the Beta tag should have never come off the game? Now that it's "officially released", people have some high expectations, and rightfully so. Why wasn't 5/14/2014 an acceptable release date? Another year could only help polish the game. |

That's not how it works often enough. Software development can not be linearly sped up indefinitely with a larger workforce. There is a point where more devs become even detrimental to the development progress, due to increasingly difficult communication that leads to conflicts, overlaps or delays between the subdepartments. |

Not trolling or hating... Just outlined the hateful truth. A lot of people have, and still will criticize the state of Dust 514. In beta? Maybe you're right, let them do they thing.
After 'officially' releasing? Nottachance. We should able to criticize a game that has lost its 'beta' tag as much as we want.

Scrum Teamology does basically try to match team size with required work load so that most teams are usually perfectly numbered when it comes to making a new feature. This however is not perfect sometimes and some teams get left behind because they ran into a problem they cannot resolve on their own but the beauty of Scrum development is the ability to be flexible and alerting those about their delays and getting more help when other teams can offer it typically when they get done with a certain feature. |

I want frame rate issues, controls, etc to be fixed and all, but honestly some new actually good game modes is a bigger priority for me. I have been playing the same ****** 2 game modes for a year, and I'm tired of them and their variations; I would welcome more variations if they were 3+ way battles, but CCP Logicloop says it won't happen anytime soon, if at all. |

Your "truth" is based on the assumption that everyone agrees that the gameplay sucks, wich is subjective, and that no one cares about more content as long as the core gameplay sucks, wich is also subjective.
While i see all the same issues as everyone else during every session i disagree with your assumption. It's not perfect but it's functional and usually does what i expect it to do and i don't hear all that much hating from squad and corp mates either. There seems to be a number of players that find the current core gameplay acceptable.
And i'll even stronger disagree with the second part of your assumption. I can't wait for racial symmetry to finally be added. I want E-war, new maps, new competitive content, new NPE, new gamemodes and others more than a retweaking of controlls that i and countless others wouldn't even notice. This even ignores the fact that not working on content does not make them fix the core gameplay any quicker. We just won't have any new content. |

Well, there are a lot more people who think the overall feel of the gameplay suck, than there are who think it's 'acceptable'. Again, there's a minority of people, who think content over gameplay, hell in some cases I agree with that, but in the case of Dust, I find it unacceptable. The game is not fun. It may keep me coming back, but more than anything, that's just me hoping that they've made changes to the game. It has improved, I'll say that much.
But as a full release (on paper) it's sub par in its performance as a FPS game, and this needs to be prioritized and rectified asap.
