Gotchya No, but saying "Not everyone has AV" is stupid as **. it's such a minimal investment that ANY character out of the academy should have at LEAST advanced AV. Be it swarms/forges/AV nades.

If a newbie wants to compete AT ALL, speccing into situational grenades before any kind of survivability or core skills... or weapons... or a suit... or equipment... etc. is a TERRIBLE way to do it. Go ahead, give it a shot. See how far you get in militia gear with a 15k+ isk grenade, and 200 eHP. Methinks you haven't started an alt recently. Not recently, but my alt is at 2.4 mil SP. I have PLENTY of points to spec into one branch of ADV AV and have decent suit/weapon skills. Even if a newb gets to a point where they are realizing theyre getting demolished by vehicles and has yet to spend a SINGLE point towards AV, it would take a week of saving to get ADV AV. That is not serious at all.
