thanks alot!!!!!!! 1. There are many core skills to skill into but It really matters what suits and weapons you want to use.
2. It decides what LAV you get (armor or shield) but other then that nothing unless you want to roleplay for a certain race.

It depends on what you like to do.
Grenades lvl 1 is a must. you get 1 extra grenade and cpu/pg costs are less than the militia. This also unlocks flux(sheild) grenades and AV(armor) grenades.
You should have an AV fit. I recommend militia heavy frame and militia forge gun. No skill points required. Swarms will do, but you will have to couple them with flux grenades or wait for someone else to lower sheilds.
You may want to skill up to atleast the GEK-38 assault rifle. It is a reliable weapon. Scrambler rifles are mean too but require more skill(not SP).
A lot of the weapons are a joke right now but i bought the first lvls just to test em out.
Get an SMG, Toxin if you have AUR or lvl1 stats are the same. The Toxin is a blueprint so you wont have to buy more than one.
Dont waste SP on corp skills, Dropships or the sentinal suits. You can skill into corp control later when you understand the game more.
Hope this helps. Theres a lot of douche bags who hang out here, but there are some people who can teach you some stuff. My advice is to read, listen, and learn |

I bought the merc pack. 20$. you get a free suit a free AR and enough AUR to buy a Free sidearm. you will make more isk. if your skills arent the greatest you will be paying for alot of gear.
I use a proto forge gun. it kills everything. I also use the GEK, love it. The forge gun requires a heavy frame and lots of SP .
I forgot to mention complex damage modifiers. Get these.
You are going to want some sheild and armor mods.
If you get sheilds go complex. The most efficient.
Armor plates arent worth it after the basic ones. Huge speed drawbacks for not much more armor.
Equipment is also a factor. You could be a support role. There is mucho denero in support.
I would recommend you try some of the militia variants. Go to the market and select the militia tab. You can get some cheap vehicles here too. The best thing is you dont need SP to fit the gear.
Hang on to your SP for a bit. you cant get it back. People here cry so hard if you even inquire about a second try.
You see we all got proto gear and would lose a huge advantage if new people could fix their mistakes.

Its a waste of money to try and buy the blueprints. I would just stick to buying the regular levels. Assault Rifles aren't the best weapons but they are the dominate weapons used in every match. I personally use laser rifles with a submachine gun, now a LOT of people will say they are the worst weapon but you just have to get used to them. As for recommending you a specific weapon it's all about what you want your role to on the battlefield. If you want yo go AV (anti vehicle) the best weapon for that would have to be the forge gun, but that requires you to use a heavy suit which are extremely slow but have very high armor. Lasers, Mass Drivers, Sniper Rifles, HMG, and few others i can't remember right now are all support weapons meaning they are better at defending small areas or defending objectives. Assault Rifles, Shotguns, Scrambler Rifles, Nova Knives, and a few others are better at capturing objectives or pushing the enemy forces back. The thing is that with the dropsuit's ability to be tailored to the players liking that doesn't mean you can't use a defensive weapon as a offensive weapon. Now with the dropsuits thats all based on whether you want to use armor or shields or a little of both. Hoped this helped and if you have any more questions i'd be happy to help you can find me on the "YAA PUB" chat. |

my suggestions; 1 you will die alot, accept this, 2 No spent SP is wasted, even if you don't think you will use it, you will at some point in the future need something that skill lets you do and oh I already have the skills for that, 3 Kill everyone, 4 Everyone is a spy, trust people at your own risk, 5 do not move out of milita gear until you are making more than you are spending per match, yes I'm saying do math, otherwise you will be pissed and rage, which yeah we don't need more of. |
