swarms are pretty much inescapible and they come out of nowhere.
to solve this give a beeping noise when you get locked on by swarms.
and give us countermeasures so we can lose swarms chasing us.
make countermeasures take a high slot and have a 30 second cooldown.

First, sorry to come back to this, LAV need their HP to be nerved. As a compensation, this system is a great idea. But, if you combine current LAV situation with your countermeasures, it would make LAV definitely overpowered.
For tanks, I don't think it is a good idea, may conduct to unbalance issues. For dropships, definitely a good idea as their driving may be difficult under fire.

(my opinion) the free lav needs a ehp nerf because its free swarms are not the only av weapon use av nades and forge guns the cooldown timer is to make sure the vechical is not spaming it and becomes unhitible by swarms as for swarms they need to be high speed low tracking missles so a skilled piolat of driver can dodge them i say this because i was driving my free murder taxi and saw swarms being launched and i drove under them and behind them and they still blew me up i mean its impossible for a high speed missle to do a 180 flip and still be on target BECAUSE SWARMS TRACK... yes, a BEEP-BEEP alert would be great... SWARMS ARE FINE AS THEY ARE THOUGH... think missile SPEED should be a skill tho... else DS's are never gonna get 'SWARMED'... |

Vehicles need an equipment/ordnance slot.
Passives and speed/health stuff should go in high/low slots.
Other actives should have a separate slot akin to equipment. Plenty of cool things that could be there (give us vehicle-mounted swarm missiles!).
Countermeasures are vital and we need them. But they won't help if we have to sacrifice one of our precious high/low slots for them. |

I would really enjoy it if all vehicles had a locked on warning system. Especially those poor dropship pilots. |

Dropships need a dedicated countermeasures system integral to the dropship itself. Maybe tether it to R1 or R2, but put an internal cooldown to balance it out. The idea should be to lose that initial swarm and get out of dodge, not spam flares and hover with impunity. However, making it a high slot cuts into our much needed tank (ADS, at best, can take 2-3 forge hits max) And would be a required module for all dropships.
The idea of modules is to modify the craft to fit the mission at hand, and while certain fits are superior to others, having a module that must be fit goes against the idea of modularity.
I suggest either giving us an alarm when we have swarms incoming, and a dedicated flare button on dropships, or buff dropship hp to compensate for the loss of a slot. |

I would settle for just the lock on warning.
Faster swarms with lower turning ability would be nice too, makes them avoidable but not outrunnable for DS and LAV..... Tanks get short end of stick on that though. |
