Nah man 3 mil isnt enough to carry you, you need all your core skills maxed, your dropsuit line maxed, and at least your primary weapon maxed to get the full carry effect

lol you obviously have not been playing dust long enough to know that no one had the balls or isk (aside from a few) to bck up proto gear. There is a huge difference between pub and proto stomped, any GOOD fps player will not stand against a "well fitted" proto player. Now you just have proto tankers with garbage weps..so tell me..how did u get "proto stomped" when very few were able to fund the use of them

Bonuses provided by high skill points don't confer skill or tactical knowledge.

• Damage, rate of fire, and reload bonuses mean fewer hits need to connect. (You still need to hit your target)
• Shield and Armor bonuses mean you need to be hit more times to be killed. (You still need to avoid or kill your opponent)
• Speed bonuses mean you can move around the map faster. (You still need to pay attention to terrain features, enemy movements, objectives and opportunities)
• Sensor Boosts mean you can identify enemies more easily using your scanner. (You still need to pay attention to your readout, their positions, the surrounding, etc...)
• CPU & PG bonuses, and multiple skills affect fitting opportunities. (You still need to plan out your fitting options and choose the appropriate fitting combinations for your combat opportunities.)

This isn't just a first person shooter. Every aspect of the game is important in combat, from the fittings you build, to the fittings you choose deploy on the battlefield, to even the skills you decide to specialize in. You don't get the privilege to use every tool available -- you have to choose what privileges you want to employ on the battlefield and what will best supplement or streamline your play-style.

2 x characters, however deleted both and restarted at 'commercial launch' or what passed for it here. Now both hovering around the 3m mark.

Being protostomped isn't fun however a well co-ordinated team of Militia outfits that have a decent idea of what they are doing can do very well.
