Because I'm an optimist at heart. I can see the tremendous potential that Dust has once CCP nails down the basics, but therein lies the rub -- I have no idea if CCP Shanghai is working under the same Future Vision of EVE and Dust that was shown to us over 4 years ago.
It's painful to see any game in the shape that Dust finds itself in right now, especially one that showed so much promise. While the fun factor in Dust has experienced a nosedive, I don't wish to fall behind in sp anymore than I already have and so I continue to log in a few times a week in the hopes that CCP Shanghai gets their act together. No matter how much "potential" a game has, if you can't even get the foundation right, then it's still a failure. |

Same as Abron Garr. I see potential for this game long term and I am hoping that they can survive the immediate and short term, I hope, problems. |

Nothing much else to play. Waiting on a few games to come out and killing time. This year's E3 is what I am looking forward to. If CCP is in E3 and show/talk what they plan on Dust 514 and I like it, then I will stay but if I see other games getting my attention then I will be less on Dust. To be honest, the only game that can win me over now is FFXIV but I am waiting to see what CCP does. |

I like high-health strafe shooters. I like hard scifi. I like the level of character customization. I like large scale team Battlefield-esque shooters. Despite the overwhelming amount of flaws and missing features, it is still pretty fun. A lot of it is also just emotional investment in the future of Dust. I want to see Dust achieve the things it promised me. |

I kind of like where I think Dust 514 is going and I'm trying to stick with it until it gets there.
Sounds like I should stop playing, to be honest. |

Because it connects with EVE. Because i want the RTS functions and the strategy implementation that New Eden requires.
I bought the PS3 just to play Dust 514 and interact more with New Eden. |

The potential that something half decent would come out of this game? I mean, EVE had this happen. Oh who am I kidding, the reason EVE is still alive is because it has no competition. |

The driving factor is the Eve tie-in.
Mechanically I like the longer TTK combat system and the fact that there are weapons other than generic ADS hitscan rifles that plagues the FPS genre. The balance is terrible and the content is currently lacking, but Eve has gotten consistently better from its release so I'm willing in invest time into Dust hoping it improves in the same way. |
