Flux Grenades appear to be used rarely these days. I would suggest to extend its thematic "disrupts electric components" by distorting dropsuits' visuals for a couple of seconds, giving it a bit of "drunken haze" effect on top of the effect it has on shields.
It fits the theme, doesn't change its utility/non-lethal branding and makes them more usefull as an "opener" of sorts, which seems to be how the player base uses them in the current meta (or doesn't use them at all, which to be frank is a better representation fo the current meta )
I imagine the effect could start out strong, making aiming close to impossible for a split second, then see the effect fade away swiftly over 2-3 seconds. I know these "flashbang" effects are common in FPS games and loathed with a passion, but like I said; it fits the theme.
Thank you for your time. I am sure there are other creative minds out there with good ideas on how to build upon the Flux concept, so feel free to share your thoughts in this thread. |

i use them all the time, and the problem with your idea is that they are already too deadly, 1200 shield damage is a lot for standard one, flashbang should be less lethal |

I think a disruption or electronic counter measure (ECM) grenade could probably fit a separate sort of role for grenades. Dropping the HUD alone (no drunk effect) would be a larger deal than you might think. While it might not be as disorienting with respect to location as you might like, a player receiving no tacnet updates (hacking, etc., voice/otherwise), no indicators as to friend or foe (blue/red marks all gone), and no voice communication from squad would be at a significant disadvantage for the length of the effect - even with full shields/armor. |

I like the ideas you're suggesting but think they'd be better suited to an eWar weapon/gear all it's own. I used the flux on essentially all of my (non free) fits and find it to be quite effective (when the server disync bug, explosive "dud" bug et al aren't getting in the way).
If I were to buff flux at all it would be giving them an added delay effect which increases the delay before shield regen kicks in if (and only if) the shields of the target are completely stripped by the blast. (Further testing might be required regarding this in respect to vehicles as their lower innate regen might make this too powerful or at least require a different level of debuff).
TL;DR - OP has some interesting ideas but I'd wait until all the mechanical bugs plaguing every explosive round/nade are resolved before buffing the flux.

If I didn't see, and die to, flux grenade usage as often as I do, I would go for your idea, OP. But I see them quite often and wind up getting gunned into oblivion after. |

Plenty of better ideas than mine in here, admittedly. Having it distort or remove the HUD for a brief moment makes more sense than my suggested "drunken haze," as suggested by Cross Atu. |

No one uses flux because it is more convenient to carry AV grenades for car spammers.
On another note, i feel like logi suits should get 2 grenade slots and a reduction of 1 high and 1 low

I feel it would make more sense for the heavy to carry several types of grenades, if anyone. Remote Explosives are already labeled Equipment and unavailable for any and all Heavies. I wonder which dropsuit each of us use, to think the way we do |
