My biggest gripe atm is the SMG. I like to run around with a swarm launcher and SMG (To shoot the murder taxis), because as useless as the SMG is, it is less useless than the scrambler pistol. WTF is CCP thinking? I blame it on Shanghai, the game was made in China, maybe the Chinese are used to sub par shooters, which means that to Chinese players this is a AAA shooter.
That said, I do like the game and do have fun playing it. Da fuq? Use the Trashmatar assault suit to get 100 mag clips and own Smg and scrambler pistol bad? Are we even playing the same game?
Yeah, I think so. Aiming is like hard and stuff. Granted, Im still a noob. Ive turned the sensitivity all the way to 0 and the aiming reticule still jumps around like a crazed walabi. |

They hit this nail straight on the head.
If this game were developed by an unknown company with zero connections to an existing franchise most people wouldn't give it a second glance let alone throw real money at it.
The game survives almost entirely on the reputation and notoriety of EVE without really providing anything itself to warrant such expectations. |

In its current state Dust is a pretty mediocre shooter. its not brilliant.
If you rate it on its potential then its a lot higher but thats in the next 2,3,4 5 years time. atm theres a ton of bugs, broken weapons and half the content isn't available and has a limited amount of game options.
For the general FPS Grunt its awful, for the smart guys who want meaning to their shooters it's ideal, it'll take several years to get running right and it'll not come into its own until the PS4 and it faces competition from likes of destiny.
we just have to sit back, put up with the bad as well as the good and when rest the folk jump on the bandwagon we'll have 30mill more sp  |

I stop reading these reviews whenever they mention that weapons are only available with AUR (Gametrailers) or that they're the best gear.
How hard can it be to review a video game for ****'s sake. |

Really? I feel the opposite. Already poured 100+ hours into PS2 WITHOUT clan mates, once my clan jumps to PS4 and PS2 I really think I will enjoy it that much more. |

Well duh they released the beta, people don't know that 3 more heavies are coming, or that PvE is a huge part of the game. Hell we don't even have trading. The table doesn't show the map you are going to fight on. There are still some really simple bugs and racial bonus issues to iron out asap. *like armor tanks having shield bonuses because they don't have the code to change it*
Listen dust is going to be awesome, but last biuld was not the real open beta. How could it have been? PC wasn't it in. PC, a major center feature wasn't included in the beta test? And people lost millions of isk to flaws and bugs? That's exactly what a beta is for. Beta is always useful for before you release all the races.
Also the face creator is coming at some point but god knows when.
People don't get how awesome Dust is going to be, they are judging what they see right now.
oh, and that's their right the review is spot on. And dust is my favorite game of all time. I would give my favorite game of all time, a 6/10, so yeah that's my position on it :/ |

So the game is still a beta, even though it has been released for almost a month and publicly available for around 4. It's really cute how people are hanging on to the same 'it's a beta' garbage that they were almost a year ago. |
