Late February and....
Either the changes already listed (Racial Suit Completion, Equipment and Weapon 'balance') are it, or there's a nice information embargo on further good things.
I'm leaning on the former, based on previous experience, but given the promises of the formerly new, CCP Rogue...
Quote:With DUST 514, my mission is to give you the most intense and engaging experience possible for a free-to-play online multiplayer shooter in the EVE Universe. This requires focusing primarily on the core gameplay, but also on a deep and rewarding link to EVE Online and everything that comes with it: the incredibly immersive fiction, sandbox design, best-in-class player-driven economy, and much more. This is where DUST 514 differentiates itself completely from all other shooters and is why I love the game. Features such as player trade, valuable resources transferable and useable between DUST and EVE, and new game modes that capture the sandbox nature of our game, are all building blocks towards that vision. We will be revealing more details at EVE Vegas later this month, followed by in-depth articles, developer blogs, and more.

We *should* have more.
5 months is enough time to put back in things that we've already seen working (more game modes, Corp Battles, ISK and BPOs (as a precursor to industry) from EVE).
As far as the 'Sandbox' and Economy and 'deep, rewarding links to EVE' I have serious doubts we'll see anything in the next 6 months.
It's kinda sad.
We'll always have the MetaGame, but that's not CCP's to make anyway.
Nothing has been indicated on the forums that any of these aforementioned issues are being addressed in anything approaching a public manner or with an announced roadmap at all.
There are currently at least as many weapons and (previously promised) vehicles and vehicle weapons missing as there are Dropsuits coming in 1.8.
Let alone Additional Maps, Alternate Planetary Environments, PvE, Match Size Increases, EVE Based Transport (WarBarges), Resource Trading/Crafting, NullSec Influences, etc, etc.
Since Chromosome it feels to me that Dust has retracted in terms of features and options for different types of gameplay, despite the addition of equipment and weapons and suits, and FW and PC battles, its completely discouraging when compared to the well known (and overstated by CCP, at every turn) potential of New Eden. |

Come on CPM, Official Statements on progress... PLEASE.
Just because the community mostly understands the present timelines (1.8 info is out, and 2.0 is coming to be previewed at least, at Fanfest.) doesn't mean you can't report on abstracts.
Ex: "CPM A, B and C communicated with EP regarding Next release"
"discussions with CCP working group X are stalled, Z number of CPM raised issues remain unaddressed, out of Y issues raised regarding (topic redacted)"
"CCP contacted CPM members for reaction after release of DevBlog#"
"CPM members X discussed Planetary Conquest Exploits with CCP"
"CPM member X encouraged Dust EP to continue development of new game modes"
Is it against your NDA to discuss the process of arriving at an announced result? We know a number of changes that are about to happen, but we'd probably like to hear CPM member's opinion of the process that arrived at those changes. It's clear that you've had a great hand in working to increase TTK, but as it's implemented vs how it was advocated is an interesting thing you could make statements about.
This is just a plea to stick to the process of regular, official CPM, status updates and communication.
Weekly.... Activity.... Reports.
cheers.
