I imagine it fluctuates quite a lot during the day; the East coast of America are in bed right now and Europe is at work... Numbers were pushing 6000 last night when I was on (UK). |

Regardless, numbers are dropping off day by day already.
The game only launched a few weeks ago, it should be going gang busters and increasing from an already low base. That's not happening though as it's a poor game. It probably wouldn't have made it out of beta if not for the EVE universe tie in. |

OPs general assumption is right. This game a bleeding players on a daily basis. The numbers on that site do not lie. |

Player count varies through the day. I just played a few hours ago, and there were 6500 or so on. When I played last night, there were 8000+. Sometimes there are fewer, usually when low activity periods on several continents fall together. For example 8 AM in Europe coincides with the middle of the night in the US, so there are always fewer players on then. Wait a few hours, and it rises a couple of thousands. If anything, I see 8000+ players more often now than before. |

Edit: peak times are United States prime time, if you want to maximize profit you should cater to the Americans and not schedule events in the middle of the work day.
The only way this game would be doing well is if every single player was buying hundreds if dollars of aurum everymonth |

While I do agree this game isn't up to snuff and is bleeding players, but judging player counts at this time of day is a stupid thing to do, that's all I'm saying. |

The only way this game would be doing well is if every single player was buying hundreds if dollars of aurum everymonth Can you not even read the data you link to? The numbers for the past 3 days have been pretty much exactly the same. The average has dropped maybe a few hundred in the past 2 weeks but that can be attributed largely to the DDOS and server issues.
"Bleeding player on a daily basis" is a tad overdramatic to say the least. |

The important one is the one for the past year. Yes Dust IS losing players. But it still ha smor eplayers than during beta. You can clearly see how the player count spiked after release. At the moment DUst has maybe an average of 5000 players. Up to 7000 during prime time. |

As far as past year goes... the only publicized data is since May 4th so that "yearly" graph isn't really much to go on right now.

I think the OP forgot about people go to work or school. Around the evening time I see on average about 6k-7.5 k. Also each time I click on the link it says 12:13. Are you saying the peak of players are going down or we are losing players? Just feels like a troll post to mess with the fanboys. |

The graph for the last year is useless because there's not enough datapoints yet to make it reliable in any way. The dip to the far right is probably caused by the DDoS wich shows its limitations. |
