making players at least sink some SP into vehicles before they can effectively run over people. free LAVs would only be useful for getting from point A to point B. |

It used to be like that since the free LAVs were about as tough as a wet tissue but the health increase that came from all the drivers and pilots whining has put us in the situation we are in now Thanks guys |

Take impact damage out of game and the gameplay will improve dramatically. Give it a try CCP. Just a week see what happens. Logi lav might actually heal something. Turrets may even kill infantry. Wat a novel idea huh |

I started a thread with a similar idea, basically a skill that at lvl 1 you can run over scouts, lvl 3 medium suits, and lvl 5 heavies.

Why would you need a SKILL to run someone over? A monkey hitting his foot on the accelerator could gun it. LAVs are an effective counter to dumb Proto suits. Don't like it? Skill into AV. I have sunk TONS of SP into making all of my vehicles tough as hell, and my LLAV is no difference. Running people over isn't as easy as people think. It is VERY situational. Sheesh. Just sounds like you lost a PRO suit while you werent looking.

Nope, I run an adv suit with a packed AV nades and duvolle AR because I can actually aim and kill with a gun in an FPS... a rarity these days. |

The REAL problem are not Veich-Player who use LLAV (it's like be killed by a tank ) the problem is when crap-people kill player because they hit them at 2km/H an still kill them. the problem is when a FREE lav (not the one you spend SP and ISK on it) can kill people with ease and don't take skill to use |

Didn't your mom ever teach you to look both ways before you cross the road?
I like the fact that vehicular merc slaughter is a viable weapon in this game. I don't have any points into vehicles on this character either. He is pure Amar assault, proto suits, proto scrambler, proto flaylock. I like the chill I get down my spin when I hear the humming engine in the near distance. I don't die all that often to LAVs though. I play a smart game.
I think it is a good game play element. Keep people on their toes. Make'em think twice before they cross that big empty expanse toward the next objective. |

Yea Death Taxi isn't as easy as people think, At most I could average about 20-25 kills a game and thats about on par with a good AR user.
I would like to keep Death Taxis the way they are but I wanted to see 3 changes made to balance them.
1. Instant kill Proximity mines, maybe homing ones, but make them easily visible so death taxis have to have a gunner to shoot them and have to slow down. That will give infantry more time and options.
2. Make the maps wider and more open. Most the points are clustered together which discourages legitimate vehicle play. Maybe if you needed a car you would get one and use it for the right reason.
3. This one is kinda out there, but suits have Inertia Dampeners to slow our falls, how about you can use it whenever and any vehicle near you when activated is slowed to a stop, so then it can't deal lethal damage and also its a sitting duck for an AV player. |

I'm sorry but if Michael Schumager crush me with a car and then my mum crush me with a car, it's the same, I have a car over me. You just need skill to crush people, not to make a vehicle heavier or letal for people.
W = m.g
*W (weight)
There is not "skill" in that equation. It's crazy to want us to spend SP to make a vehicle heavier
And yes, LAVs can be annoying, but in general, "free LAVs" are very vulnerable.

Had that in MAG
All i had to do was just slightly hit them and they would die, was alot of fun
Also tho LAV is a moving car, why would having impact damage at lvl 5 work? I can hit ppl with HAVs they get pushed along and sometimes dont die
Just say if it was at lvl5 i would like to also put something on the front of my car or tank to kill ppl with like a cow catcher for example available at lvl 1, then lvl 3 and 5 varient would add things like spikes |
