Revolutionary Girl Utena, all the way!! My all time favorite anime. It's just awesome and magical.... and it makes me feel like I can become a prince (as well as anyone who believes, yes that means you too). Also, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is really good. It somehow manages to capture a strong feeling of nostalgia and you're never too old for nostalgia. But the first Anime I fell in love with was Nausicaa and she'll forever be my model of a strong woman. So here's my list:
Revolutionary Girl Utena The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
And anything that was on Toonami when I was in Elementary School. |

Ok, so I know this is kind of long (and most people don't have an hour and a half to sit down and watch an anime on youtube) but this anime is pretty amazing.
Ringing Bell a.k.a Chirin
The first part is kind of cutesy animals etc. Don't let that put you off. This movie has an amazing ending. |

I've really been loving watamote and kill la kill lately. The only problem is every time I try to get one of my friends to watch kill la kill they immediately pass it off as hentai. It doesn't help that I'm already that "one weird anime friend." I mean, seriously? hentai? If you want hentai I'll show you hentai. --_-- *shakes fist* ok, I get that there's tons of guy fan service, but there's some for the girls too (oh boy!!!), just give it a chance!
also watamote is painfully good. I feel so sorry for Tomoko but I can't stop watching. |

also watamote is painfully good. I feel so sorry for Tomoko but I can't stop watching. Kill la Kill won't appeal to many - Gurren Lagann had the same art style and atmosphere, but few can compare. And watamote was hard to watch for me. Depressing as hell and it never does anything but get worse - she's not improving at all lol well, watamote is like my middle school years so I get where she is coming from. Thank god for the friends I made in High School or I might have ended up like her. T.T
btw, on a watamote related note, if you have a psp or ps vita "Sweet Fuse" is a great Otome game! |
