Any recommendations for I should watch this season, preferably something on crunchyroll? I plan on checking out KanColle, because why not, and Saekano, because it looks like it could be a good romance anime, but aside from that there doesn't appear to be much else.
Also just started watching Nagi no Asakura from winter 2014, and wow that is amazing so far. Much, much better than Glasslip.

Anticipating - Rolling Girls* Durarara S2 Maria the Virgin Witch
* = Funimation has the rights to stream it, rip.
But like I said, we've just started here. Even Terror in Resonance and Aldnoah Zero were good for their first few episodes. Judging a show by, at best, its FIRST episode is pretty dangerous territory so take all of this with an appropriate grain of salt.
Also hi.
Hi! Long time no see.
While we are at it I have a list of shows I am planning in watching. Could you, or anyone else, tell me which of these I shouldn't even bother with, so I don't end up wasting my time diving into a completely **** show.
K-on Vocaloid Idolmaster Noragami Tokyo Ravens Clannad (And Clannad After Story) Nisekoi Haikyu
Any and all opinions appreciated. Also if you say a show is ****, please explain why, without spoiling anything.

Foundation Seldon wrote: A couple paragraphs about his opinions on anime, snipped for the sake of character limit. It was nice to be able to see what you look for in an anime in a clear, concise layout as opposed to having to pick bits of information out of the more abstract conversations we have. As we have never really talked about what we each look for in anime in the purest sense, I will also post here what I look for in an anime so that you can understand more about what I like in anime, because I am horrible at explaining things in a normal conversation.
As you know, I love my romance anime. I enjoy watching a slow, progressive romance story because it allows me to see the change in the characters emotion and it creates a pleasant feeling when the romance finally ties together. Shows like Say "I Love You" and Shakugan no Shana did this really well. If a romance is rushed, such as the romance in Sword Art Online, it just doesn't produce that same pleasant feeling, which is why I don't enjoy or tend to avoid shorter series that don't focus on the romance enough, like Glasslip.
Furthermore, I really enjoy watching characters struggle with their emotions. Be it love, hate, sadness, jealousy, you name it: I enjoy watching characters try to understand their own emotions. This is why I enjoy shows like Kokoro Connect, Madoka Magica, and Nagi no Asakura. Shows where the characters are dead set on there emotions, and there is absolutely no conflict regarding emotion, are shows I tend to not enjoy so much. Shows like this include Black Bullet and Trinity Seven.
Plot is another huge factor in whether or not I enjoy an anime. Shows with complex plots and interesting conflicts that keep me thinking are usually great shows. Sword Art Online, Fate / Zero, and Hamatora come to mind when I think about shows that have good plots. The only exception to this is slice of life anime, which usually contain romance elements that make the show worth watching, like Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso. Of course there are some non-romance slice of life anime that actually have good conflicts, though they are usually paired with emotional struggle to add a layer a depth to it. The first show that comes to mind in relation to this is Love Live! School Idol Project, which kept me hooked the entire time. The more episodic shows, like Mushishi, don't really entertain me, so I tend to drop them after watching a few episodes.
Philosophy is also something that a show can really hook me with. Any show that has a lot of philosophical depth is a show I really enjoy. Show that delve into topics such as: Value of the human soul/life, emotional worth, and of course romantic philosophy are especially good in my eye. Madoka Magica, Kokoro Connect, and Angel Beats definitely strike high in this category. Philosophical value isn't something I look for in every show though, as it is hard to find truly philosophical anime.
Interesting concepts are also something that I enjoy seeing. If a show revolves an unusual concept or if it takes a typical concept and takes a large twist on that, I will enjoy even more. Madoka Magica, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, and Hamatora all had there own twist on typical concepts, so I enjoy them at least a little more than I normally would.
Music is something I generally look at when it comes to anime as well. My method for finding new anime to watch usually involves looking at Top 100 Anime Intro videos on Youtube because I feel an anime's intro directly reflects the anime itself. Anime with amazing in-show music are usually high on my list. Examples include Madoka Magica, Guilty Crown, Fate / Zero, and Love Live! School Idol Project. On the topic of actual production, animation is also something I judge an anime highly on. While I enjoy a refreshing animation style every now and then, I prefer watching shows with the usually animation style, as long as it isn't poorly done. For this reason alone I won't watch anything produced in the early 2000's or earlier.
I have been saving the main reason for last, but to understand this you first have to understand my emotional state first. I, by nature, am a very happy-go-lucky person, so the only two emotions I generally feel are happiness and annoyance. Any anime that can produce a different emotion out of me end up being quite memorable. Sadness is an emotion that I never feel on a day to day basis, so if a show provokes this emotion it skyrockets to the top percentile of anime I have seen. Fate / Zero, Guilty Crown, Nagi no Asakura, Kokoro Connect, Madoka Magica, and Akame Ga Kill all did this. That doesn't mean the were good shows over all, but they sit well with me due to the fact that they made me sad. Taking that even further, any show that can make me cry will find itself at the top of my list. So far only two shows have managed to do this: Angel Beats and Love Live! School Idol Project, which sit second and first on my list respectively due to the fact that I cried while watching them. Show that drag no emotion out of me never sit well with me, namely Blade and Soul as well as Blue Exorcist.
Thanks for taking your time to read this, and don't bother commenting on this if you haven't.
Also, I hate mecha, and refuse to watch any mecha anime.
That is all, Sincerely, Glanitx / Ice.

It's not emotionally impacting - but you will be impacted.
Also, have you seen Clannad or Anohana?
How about Please Teachers or Twins?
I know you said you don't like the elder animation styles - but they'll surprise you with how timeless it will seem. An example of this is Great Teacher Onizuka - and absolute must watch for anime fans. Or crest of the stars - another must watch for sci-fi/war fans. I have not seen anything mentioned in this post. I will check some of these out once I get through the list of anime I posted earlier.

I have to admit I have not seen many anime movies myself as well. Some FMA movies, Kite Liberator, and the Sword Art Online summary movie are the only ones that come to mind.
Foundation says I have to watch Madoka Rebellion, and I'll get around to it eventually. Maybe when I finish watching Nagi no Asakura and finish re-watching Fate / Zero.
Good luck with your all-nighter, and good luck for your PC. I may pull an all-nighter as well, but for what reason I do not know.

I just finished the emotional roller-coaster that is Nagi no Asakura. For a romance anime, this one easily topped the charts for me.
This has to be one of the first shows I have watched where I liked every single main character. Even the overly shy girl, and the guy who easily gets angry were both characters I enjoyed a lot(And I usually don't like shy or angry characters, as they seem to be easier to hate than to love). The characters also made decisions that didn't seem too illogical, every character acted in a way that made sense without being incredibly predictable.
I honestly don't know how they managed to pull off a successful romance with seven people involved. Even though one of the couples I was routing for never got together, I was still pleased with who ended up with who in the end.
The plot twist that occurred between seasons created an amazing set of problems for the characters to face, and it ramped up the drama amazingly.
Nagi no Asakura delves into some very interesting philosophical topics, mainly about change and the meaning of love. Many characters had some interesting views on these topics, so it was quite the watch on a whole different level when compared most other romance anime.
Overall, Nagi no Asakura was a purely amazing watch. If you are a fan of romance and/or drama anime, then I definitely recommend this to you.

I hope the show switches focus or the guy chills the **** out - because his aggressiveness is appalling. And because of how he takes it out the female lead comes off as sub-servierent to males.
The other female character, the purple hair one, makes up for a lot of the weaknesses the two mains have, she's quite wonderful.

Chisaki :3 I wouldn't say it's a super amazing romance story, but the plot goes from whiny children who don't understand love to "holy **** wtf did that seriously happen" when they go to the second season. Wasn't a big fan of the ending, but I liked this anime mainly for just how beautiful it was. the art style is really fantastic.
I admit the ending wasn't perfect, but they tied off everything well for a romance anime. I would put it up there with Kokoro Connect. And yes, fuck you Foundation, Kokoro Connect was great.
Also, Sayu for the win.

But the show had its moments ... Kokoro - 16 Impressions http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=141735367&postcount=18480
Kokoro - 17 Impressions http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=141976834&postcount=18701
I ended up writing a little thing in this thread for each of the episodes but these two pretty much represent my high and low.
You always have to try to find logic in character's actions, don't you? I don't see you ever being able to appreciate romance or emotional drama/stress the way I do. But hey, to each their own.
Also, I was comparing the endings Kokoro Connect and Nagi no Asakura as romance anime. As a show Nagi was miles(kilometers) better than Kokoro, but their endings left me with similar feelings of satisfaction, and both shows tied up the romances perfectly.

Today marks the end of the 4th week of Winter 2015, which means I have seen the first three episodes of every show I am watching(I watch on a free Cruchyroll account, so I am a week behind). I thought I would post a quick review of everything I have seen, including Fall 2014 leftovers, going from worst to best.
#8 - Log Horizon: Honestly, this show has been disappointingly boring. Ever since Akatsuki's arc ended the show has been on a downward spiral for me, and this new arc following the young members is simply the worst yet. Every week I have to force my self to sit through an episode of this and every time it feels like a wasted effort.
#7 - KanColle: This show is bad. There is no other way of putting it. The only reason this placed above Log Horizon is because this show is interesting, and I can hope that it will improve. I look forward to seeing more of this show, but I will not be surprised of it turns out to be one of the worst shows I have seen.
#6 - Naruto Shippuden: I really should't have to explain my self here. Naruto is still Naruto: Not the best, but not terrible either. I am enjoying this latest season; this latest flashback has proven to be interesting.
#5 - World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman: Now we get into the good shows. This one surprised me a bit, as I went in expecting an over the top ecchi filled with more fanservice than plot just like Trinity Seven, but it ended up being a fairly good anime that has a lot of qualities that remind me of RWBY. I'm excited to see where this goes to say the least.
#4 - Parasyte: For those of you who have seen this, you know I do not have to justify this. For those of you who haven't seen this, what the fuck were you doing last season?
#3 - Saekano -How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend-: This show is amazing. The romance is done in just the right amount of doses, but it still allows the comedy to take the spotlight. This show is hilarious, and this is definitely my favourite of the new anime that have come out this year.
#2 - Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso: This is definitely one of the best romance anime I have seen. But this show isn't good due to its romance, it is good due to the absolute perfect amount of emotional conflict. Over the many arcs, this show has put its characters through some amazing emotional challenges, and the characters reaction are not over the top. Are you reading this Foundation? Good. Now watch this show, and Saekano as well.
#1 - Akastuki no Yona: If you ask me why I am putting this show in the #1 spot, I won't be able to tell you. This show is painfully generic and is as predictable as a small child making a choice between chocolate and broccoli, but nevertheless every Tuesday I am super pumped to see the latest episode of this show. It could be due to the comedy, or the subtle romance, but I feel, if anything, it is due to the likeable characters. I have no quarrel putting this in my top spot for this season, even if I don't know why.
So yah, that is my list for this season. I am glad to be watching only 8 shows, as the last season watching 15 shows almost burned me out. I would love to hear some people opinions, as it would be nice to start an actual discussion on here again.

Foundation Seldon wrote:Am I the only one that's noting the pretty distinct drop in quality on the Parasyte front? Not so much in an animation perspective or anything (though the show has never reached the heights on that front since the first couple eps) but more on the overall writing front. It's one thing to fumble pretty much all of the interactions between Shinichi and the female characters (you don't want to get me started on how the scenes where Female Protag 1 is recalling all the "weird" things going on with Shinichi while ignoring his sudden ability to jump out of two story windows) but the writing as a whole has just sort of taken a pretty stark drop in quality. I just can't get over how the initial handling of the detective character was handled. Last couple episodes have been a bit more interesting as the focus has shifted into how the Parasyte faction is organizing itself but man, please step it up. This show went from a legit Top 5 AOTY contender for me to just dropping off my radar on that front entirely.
Yah, I honestly wanted to put Parasyte higher, but it is, as you said, falling off a bit. Luckily I have Akatsuki no Yona to keep me happy until spring comes.

It seems that a couple days ago Monty Oum, the creator of RWBY, died due to an allergic reaction to a simple medical procedure.
I'm sure at least some of us will miss him, even though RWBY was not technically an anime.
Aside from that saddening news, I hope everyone has a good day. I'm going to go watch the latest episode of Akatsuki no Yona now.

I hope people follow in his footsteps, but with a better plot, lol. RIP Monty Oum. o7 I loved RWBY, it had an awesome anime inspired style but was still distinctly western, part of me hopes it continues, part of me thinks it shouldn't.
Honestly, I don't think it should be continued.
Its legacy should live on in the form of fan creations, namely fiction and art, and in our memories.
There is no way RWBY would be a show worth watching if Monty wasn't in charge. Miles and Kerry simply aren't enough.
R.I.P. Monty Oum; you will be remembered forever, or at least for a few decades.

I completely understand; but, it is because of the first arc that Sword Art scored so highly. If the show had ended after the first arc, it would be at the top of my list, no questions asked. I don't think I have ever enjoyed any anime as much as I enjoyed that first arc, but it has been let down by the its other arcs. So I finally got around to looking for a new anime to watch. I wanted something that was a bit more action/plot oriented, as I try to alternate Slice of Life with Action to prevent myself from getting bored of either. Anyway, I was browsing through Crunchyroll and nothing was looking interesting, until...
I found out that Crunchyroll now has the all time greatest show of all time ever...
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
This show was my childhood, so the fact that it is now on Crunchyroll has made me the happiest person ever. I feel like I will not be making any progress on anything school related these next few weeks, as I am going to be binge-watching the shit out of this.

Looking at the calendar, I realized spring is only a few weeks away. That being said, I think it is time for me to drop my mid-season review for all the shows in Winter 2015. Also, I'm bored and feel like writing some small paragraphs, and if I can spark discussion then all the better. I go from worst to best.
8. Log Horizon: Honestly, I dropped this show out of sheer boredom. Nothing else needs to be said about this disappointment.
7. World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman: Speaking of disappointments, this show has been full of them. It started off so well; there was no over-the-top ecchi, characters looked well designed, and the plot had potential. However, this show has drastically reduced itself to a puddle of stupidity. The ecchi still isn't too prevalent, but there are some characters who seem to fill that gap. The characters that aren't practically rapists are all pretty shallow and poorly designed, with the exception of two. Also, the plot is bad, way too quick, and the enemies are just plain silly. I had high hopes for this show, but I will learn from this and not allow my naivet+¬ to get the better of me.
6. Kantai Collection: I was tempted to put this above Naruto Shippuden, however feel Naruto is just slightly better than this. Unlike World Break, I came into this show because I knew it was going to be a joke. Of course, this show is still a joke, but have been enjoying it far more than I previously expected. Entertaining characters, great animation, and actually entertaining fight scenes make this show somewhat satisfying even though the plot and conflict are both just abysmal.
5. Naruto Shippuden: This show really hasn't changed over the past few seasons. It is by no means amazing, but I wouldn't say that it isn't good.
4. Parasyte: This show has definitely degraded since it started. However, it is by no means a bad. In fact, I think it is still pretty amazing. The conflict is still good, the main characters are both likeable, and the romance isn't too terrible either. My only true qualm with this show is that I would like the intro theme to change, but that isn't really a problem.
3. Akatsuki no Yona: For those of you who remember, this show was number one on my list at the beginning of this season. The show hasn't really changed; it is still amazing. The only reason it has dropped is because the two shows that come next both have improved a lot over the course of this season.
2. Saekano -How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend-: This show pulled the rug out from under me. I fell in love with this show because of its comedy. I was expecting something exactly like Gekken Shoujo Nozaki-kun, where the romance was there but it wasn't satisfying. Unexpectedly, the romance is absolutely perfect in this show, and coming from a person who hates harem that is high praise. Honestly, if the main character ended up with any of the three girls I would be happy, but I will still be pleased if he doesn't end up with any. Don't get me wrong, the comedy is still strong with this one, but the romance has picked up severely.
1. Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso: Now for a show that has pulled an opposite change when compared to Saekano. The romance was what I was watching the show for, but the drama has definitely put this show on top. It is rare for me to watch a Slice of Life for its conflict, but this show has worked wonders. Naturally the romance in this show is still great, but it is no longer the thing that makes this show great. As a side note, Arima Kousei x Nagi Aiza is now best ship. Anyone who disagrees will be burned at the stake while soft violin music plays.
Anyway, that is all for my mid season review. Maybe if I get bored later I will do a post on my top 15 anime, as that list has changed a bit since I posted my top 10.
Hopefully we can get some real discussion in here. Peace out all, Glantix / Ice.

For the short ones, there is a new one about some Psychologist and some crazy nurse talking about mental conditions. It is short but it is very funny.
World Break is definintely slipping A LOT. I don't blame you for skipping through it. Also, you have to be one of the first people I have seen who truly supports KanColle.

Every female protagonist in the show has been written to have the intelligence of a bucket of rocks and if they're not rushing head on into their own doom they're a broken record of "You've changed Shinichi!!! :( :( :(". Like man, do not get me started on how main female protag. consistently ignores the fact that Shinichi is now able to jump out of 3 story windows while carrying another person and just goes on to ***** about Shinichi's lack of tears and not being included instead. Your thoughts on the female characters are definitely understandable. However, I am still enjoying the romance, and there is a difference between a female character and a romance.
[quote=Foundation Seldon] It's a hell of a lot of fun. It also has the best OP of the season
Ummmmm... no!
Death Parade's opening is catchy, and it is pretty good, but it is definitely not the best opening this season.
Let me list off the better openings of this season.
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso Opening 2: Nanairo Symphony by Coala Mode
KanColle Opening 1: Miiro by Akino from bless4
Saekano Opening 1: Kimiiro Signal by Luna Haruna
That is only openings. (Hopefully the songs are right, I'm at school so I cannot listen to the videos right now.) Let's look at endings now, as these endings are better than every song I mentioned combined.
Shigatsu wa kimi no Uso Ending 1: Orange by 7!!
KanColle Ending 1: Fubuki by Shiena Nishizawa
So yah. I would type more but I'm out of time. See ya all.

I found an English cover of Parasyte's opening in my Youtube subscription box, so I thought I would share it here.
Let Me Hear - Cover by: Amanda Lee
Amanda does some really amazing work. Even though I much prefer Japanese music over English music, her covers are just too beautiful to ignore. Honestly, I suggest if you liked this cover you should look at her other covers as well. Actually, look up her other covers even if you didn't like this one, because they truly are amazing.
Also, in reply to Shayz, while Spring looks good that does not mean it will be good. After Fall last year I will always be weary when a season looks like it will be good. I'm looking forward to FSN:UBW and Plastic Memories, but aside from that I am going to assume everything else will be disappointing, simply for the sake of me being a pessimist.

I get where you guys are coming from now - a lot of the shows interesting pace is finally taking a back seat to flesh out some characters internal strife believably.
Unfortunately they did so by tying two slow stories together.
They probably thought people would enjoy watching the loli purple hair girl learingn her Teaching - but it was tedious watching her anguish over a childish issue. And it's backed and then followed by slow pacing and lots of internal dialogue.
But to say the show has dropped for it is too much, Log Horizon in season 2 is basically telling us they're comfortable enough with the plot and characters that they can slow it down and start fleshing everything out.
as such, season 2 is much like season one of clannad, it's not going to wrap up anything but give you a ton more questions.
There's also something else I've noticed - animation quality dropped. I saw consistently ugly scenes as if they just couldn't be bothered to draw a line straight. This is becoming noticeable more frequently in the later episodes, especially when the youngster started there travels.
It was the stupid arc devoted to the kids that caused me to drop it. Personally, Akatsuki's arc where she was learning her Teaching was one of the better points of Log Horizon; I really enjoyed that bit. Everything after that was just boring as hell.

So, here goes.

Speaking of which, which FMA should I watch? I hear Brotherhood is a little worse overall but I heard about a certain pitch black plot happening/emotional gut punch that happens at some point and it's got me interested.
Edit: And for when you inevitably answer "Both!", which should I watch first?
Watch the original first, then Brotherhood. Also, this is probably the first time I've heard someone say that Brotherhood was worse. There were a few good points in the original, but it felt incomplete even after watching the sequel movie. If you only plan on watching one, watch Brotherhood. If your going to watch both, watch the original first.
Of course, this is just my opinion, and I'm sure someone else will disagree, but take it as you may.

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso finished for me this week. That show was amazing. The ending was beautiful, and I don't think I have ever seen such a happy yet such a sad ending. Definitely in my top 5 now.
Speaking of shows finding there way into my top 5, I just finished Mirai Nikki. I could probably write a few essays on how good this show was, but there is a character limit for forum posts, so I am not even going to bother. This show has to be the most unpredictable show I have watched. Even the plot twists I did manage to predict had there own twists which left me speechless. This was also my first experience with a proper yandere, make that THE yandere, and I have to say of the four common personality types in anime this one has to be my favourite(Sorry tsundere, but your kinda getting old). Gisai Yuno was such a well done character, in fact most of the characters were really well done, and she is easily in my top 5 characters of all time. Plot got a bit weird at the end, but it still all fit well and the redial episode made the show feel complete when all was said and done.
Looks like a lot of shows are ending for me next week. I watch on crunchyroll for free, thus I am a week behind, so no spoilers please. Really pumped for spring, but I have to say this season has been absolutely amazing.
Anyway, anime is great. Peace out guys. Glantix / Ice

Winter is wrapping up for me this week, so I'll post my reviews of everything that has ended so far.
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso: I've already review this in a previous post, but to reiterate this show was fantastic. Music was amazing, animating was fantastic, characters were great, the romance was better, and the ending was masterfully crafted.
Akatsuki no Yona: Is this over? Is a sequel going to be released? For now I will assume that there will not be a sequel: The show felt complete at the end anyway. This show has so many things going for it. The characters are absolutely amazing, with interesting personalities and motivations that makes each character feel real and alive. The atmosphere of the show was great, with just enough comedy to offset the rather serious tone that is cast over the entire show. The romance was there, but definitely not overbearing like it can be in other anime. Animation and music were both pretty good, and the action in the show was great as well. As I said earlier, even though this show seems like it set up a sequel, I would feel happy if that was the ending. It left a lot to the imagination, but it did tie up most of the loose ends. Above all, this show was just enjoyable. I'm going to say it was the second most enjoyable show this season, but more on that later.
Parasyte: Admittedly this show did get a bit boring nearing the end, but nonetheless this show was still really good and definitely a fun watch. The characters were kind of flat, but the conflict was really well done for both the external and internal struggles that occurred throughout the show. Where this show really shines though is its philosophical nature. This show gets pretty deep into the topic of humanity's position as the apex predator of the entire planet and shows just how strong humanity is. The last episode reflected this amazingly, and I just want to re-watch that episode over and over again to pull all of the philosophical meaning out of it. Overall Parasyte was a pretty good show.
Kantai Collection(KanColle): Remember when I said that Akatsuki no Yona was the second most enjoyable show this season? This is the anime that made it fall to second most enjoyable. I never played KanColle as a game, but I could imagine all the connections between the game and the show, especially in terms of the admiral being the player character. This show had fantastic animation and music, as well as some really good characters. The lack of ecchi content was a nice change compared to a lot of other similar anime, and I am just going to mention one more time that the characters were fantastic. Apparently most of the battles that occurred were historically accurate, so that is cool. Again, this show shines in the category of raw enjoyability. I am so glad I didn't drop this show.
This season has been magnificent. I have Saekano and Unlimited Fafnir ending today so I will have those reviews up tonight.
Aside from that, have a nice day everyone. Sincerely, Glantix / Ice

I love watching anime as it airs because it means there will be something new for me to see on most days of the week. However, this doesn't work when ALL FIVE SHOWS I'M WATCHING ARE RELEASED ON FUCKING SATURDAY. Saturday morning cartoons were cool when I was a kid, but this is just stupid. Aside from that, I've decided to watch some shows not on Crunchyroll, so I have seen the first episodes of two shows already.
Will be watching on Crunchyroll: Fate/Stay Night, Plastic Memories, and Gunslinger Stratos.
Watching off-site: Kekkai Sensen, and Owari no Seraph
Kekkai Sensen: This show has potential. The feel of this show is very similar to that of Hamatora, which I liked a lot, so I'm hoping this show will deliver. However, if it is going to continue to be as shit as that first episode, then this show will be nothing but a disappointment.
Owari no Seraph: This is how a first episode should be done. I really enjoyed this one's first episode for some reason. The plot twist was kind of obvious, but I didn't expect them to take it as far as they did. This show started off well, but I get the feeling it is going to get much worse.
So those are two short reviews of what I have seen so far. I'll have three more up on Saturday or Sunday after I have the others. Peace guys, Glantix / Ice

The only Gundams I can recall having seen in my life were the old Gundam Wing and G Gundam back when they were airing on Toonami. A friend of mine recommended I check out Turn-A so here I am. A low key episode but I like that they didn't feel the need to throw in some cataclysmic event from the outset in order to hook you into the series. Really liked the way they were able to establish little elements of the world without feeling the need to do a super heavy handed exposition sequence either. It's refreshing.
Mirai Nikki - 01 This was really dumb!
Mirai Nikki - 02 This has crossed the threshold of dumb into actively insulting my intelligence. I genuinely can't take this show seriously in its current state. It's honestly more comparable to some juvenile saturday morning TV show than anything I've seen in recent memory. I don't even know what to bring up first, the ridiculously flamboyant and cartoonishly evil antagonists, the main female lead whose only purpose is to fawn over our protagonist and murder dozens of her classmates, the stupidity of everyone involved with respect to how to handle a hostage crisis (let's walk into enemy territory without a plan and be forced to point a gun at MC within the first 5 seconds of realizing how stupid I am), or how our villain of the week is foiled in part due to kids randomly chucking books and other school items out of their windows. There's not a single redeemable thing about this show that I can cite at this point in time.
In conclusion : http://i.imgur.com/c8U8Ukc.gif
Ahem. Third favourite. Also, nice using a clip from my favourite anime to attempt to say my favourite anime is ****. Also, as someone previously said, it gets better. Also, have a nice day.

Aku no Hana - Episode 1: Wow! I stepped into this show expecting a pile of shit, in both art and story. I was more than mildly surprised when I fell in love with the art style in less than 3 seconds. The characters are rough, but the style really contributes to the show. The environment is absolutely beautiful; I can't stop swooning over that one bent, yellow crossing sign. The story and characters both feel very real. The main character seems really interesting, and his friends actually seem like teenagers. The romance looks like it is going to be good, and there seems to be potential for well done conflict as well.
Aku no Hana - Episode 2: Wait. What? Huh?! WHAT!?! WHAT THE FUCK?!?!!?!?!?!? How can a show go from being sooooo good to being one of the worst things I have ever seen in my anime watching career. Why would the main character do something so stupid? What the hell was he thinking? It was a gym uniform. Why is everyone overreacting? Did the one chick not notice that the main guy got pushed into her and that he didn't plant his face between her breasts on purpose? Why has everyone in this become so stupid? This is by far the biggest disappointment of my life!
I will keep my end of the bargain Foundation, but I'm feeling like I have received the short end of the stick on this deal.
Get a better taste in anime. Sincerely, Glantix / Ice

The only disappointing thing is how long it takes to unlock new songs (it is a F2P model), but it does offer daily downloadable tracks, and of course it has a surplus of cute anime girls to rank up and "idolize"

I've been rather inactive on this thread, but now that spring is over I guess it is time for me to post some reviews. I'll stick to shows that have finished, so Owari no Seraph and Arslan Senki won't be found here until they finish. As of right now, I only have three shows to review, and I'll post reviews of the rest when I get around to finishing them. Disclaimer: May contain spoilers and spelling mistakes (I'm typing this on my phone).
Fate / Stay Night: This seems like a good place to start. This show was pretty good overall, filled with a fair amount of action with a dash of romance as well. I can't really say I had any problems with the show, but at the same time there was nothing that really stood out as being amazing. This show is definitely better than the original, but worse than it's prequel.
Hibike! Euphonium: This show was pretty fantastic. Sure, there were some dull moments, but aside from those the show was quite entertaining. I like how this show contained drama without going overboard. I think this show captured all of the elements make a good high-school drama while still maintaining realism in terms of characters and their reactions to certain events. Speaking of characters, the characters in this show were great. For having such a large cast, it is quite impessive that every character managed to be unique and interesting. I really like the main character in this show; her level of awkwardness is, honestly, super adorable and her resolve, frankly every characters resolve, is very admirable. This show reminds me of Love Live in many ways, such as the one just mentioned. Out of all the things in this show that I enjoyed, the romance definitely takes the cake, but not in a way I would have initially expected. While this show did have some actual romance elements, the one that reallyhooked me was the Kumiko/Reina romance. Their confession scene was so unlike anything I have ever scene in any anime, and their more mature understanding of love is very refreshing to see. I don't at exactly what position, but this show has definitely snuck its way into my top 5.
Plastic Memories: Here we go. I don't really know where to begin with this one. I know quite a few people had a few issues woth this show as a sci-fi show, but I think those people just don't understand what this show is. This show is an amazing romcom drama with a touch of sci-fi elements. I'm not one to enjoy romantic comedies usually, as I find the comedy takes away from the romance too much, but this show didn't make me feel like that. This show is very similar to Angel Beats, it balances comedy and drama in a way that works, but it does even more than that. Unlike Angel Beats, this show focuses a lot more on the romance, and that does nothing except add to this shows magnificence. Angel Beats was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, but this is the whole damn amusement park. This show was funny and joyous, yet at the same time it could be serious and somewhat dark. Then the final episode hit, and the tears started flowing. That ending was so heartbreaking; I'm honestly holding back tears right now as I write this review. I haven't cried that much in years. I don't think I'll forget this show, it was an absolutely amazing watch. I can say with confidence that this show is my all time favourite anime. #NoRegrets
This season, for me, has been one of the best. In the two years I've been watching anime I haven't seen a single season that placed two shows in my top 5. Don't get me wrong, this season had it's fair share of terrible shows, but I can ignore those because there have been some fantastic shows as well.
Anyway, these are my reviews so far. More to come within the next week.
Sincerely, Glantix / Ice
