Maybe its the depression the main guy constantly goes through while everything else is so happy? And Bryhidlr... from the creators of Elfen Lied. At first I was like, really? Episode one rolls on by and I was meh. Then episode 2 comes a long... They're still on going if I'm not mistaken? Except Nisekoi. And quite a few start in what a week or 2? |

I didn't really like the first SAO. [/quote] It wasn't great but I wouldn't say it was bad. Personally I'd put it in the "alright" category. I thought it started out good though.

Every american seems to love that show, maybe because they enjoy feeling depressed? idk - personally, i enjoy inspirational and uplifting moments, but that's just me xD Shows are better when ANYONE can die, rather than the good guys always winning. No, just no. I agree with the good guys always winning makes it not as good but when the characters you like die and get cut up into pieces..its a bit too much for me. Now death note was good. =ƒÿå |

Crunchyroll fires back by getting a show I was looking forward too this season - My Love Story.
With Crunchyroll already claiming rights to Plastic Memories, Romance Comedy S2 (Another big one), FSN S2, and now this, it seems Funimation success last season in picking up the majority of interesting titles has been put to an early halt.
Crunchyroll is taking this season by storm so far. Everyone seems to forget that Funimation picked up Blood Blockade Battlefront aka Kekkai Sensen. By far the most interesting show thats aired this season. forget? I don't even know what show that is, lol. Plastic Memories or w/e is the only show I heard hype about outside of continuations. Yes! However, this doesn't work when ALL FIVE SHOWS I'M WATCHING ARE RELEASED ON FUCKING SATURDAY. Saturday morning cartoons were cool when I was a kid, but this is just stupid. Aside from that, I've decided to watch some shows not on Crunchyroll, so I have seen the first episodes of two shows already.
Will be watching on Crunchyroll: Fate/Stay Night, Plastic Memories, and Gunslinger Stratos.
Watching off-site: Kekkai Sensen, and Owari no Seraph
Kekkai Sensen: This show has potential. The feel of this show is very similar to that of Hamatora, which I liked a lot, so I'm hoping this show will deliver. However, if it is going to continue to be as shit as that first episode, then this show will be nothing but a disappointment.
Owari no Seraph: This is how a first episode should be done. I really enjoyed this one's first episode for some reason. The plot twist was kind of obvious, but I didn't expect them to take it as far as they did. This show started off well, but I get the feeling it is going to get much worse.
So those are two short reviews of what I have seen so far. I'll have three more up on Saturday or Sunday after I have the others. Peace guys, Glantix / Ice Agreed the air dates are really lame this season |

When they first launched the service I checked it out and that was the manga I picked - it's pretty good.
But, alas, I just got Akiba: Undead and Undressed. I tried it on PS3 and gave up very early because of some very noticeable flaws, such as how obvious PS3 couldn't handle the games performance in rendering anything. It's no wonder the city was cut up into so many different parts.
But the PS4 handles it beautiful - giving a much more satisfying and Akiba experience. Never touch the PS3 version. It just can't handle the game.

Oriignally - I dropped it because the cast was cut-n-copy generic, you had your tsundere, the smart mouth kid to accompany her, the well spoken intellectual, the beefy athletic, the useless people, the over achievers, the ladies man, over-talkative blonde bimbo, and a quite loli.
Then throw in the main character whose put in a setting that IS ******* OBVIOUS WHAT THE RIGHT MORALE DECISIONS ARE BUT THEY LIVE IN A BRAIN DEAD WORLD APPARENTLY. So he comes off looking like a hero for using ******* COMMON SENSE.
That kind of **** upsets me in a plot line. It's the reason Aldnoha Zero or whatever it's called is complete GARBAGE. You do your best to make the world believable, the moment it becomes obvious the world went stupid for the sake of a character, your show has turned into trash beyond help.
but it wasn't a huge deal with Plastic Memories, as the actual anguish i'm complaining over was a minor plot-line. Everyone else just seems to find it acceptable to give something intelligence then give it no thought of it's own thought and feelings that you programmed them to have independently. it's like this world just wants to be ******** to set up dramatic effects.
But if you get past this, and a few other irks in the plot line... the interaction between the characters is quite enjoyable. The main heroine, mrs loli, is actually quite the interesting character.
After a while the show takes on the story of Your Lie In April, but without the issue of emotional attachment, i don't give a **** about you lil lady, the show didn't let me. I only know brief moments shown in your history of who you are, and that's quite literally it. You acting cute all the god damn time isn't a reason to connect with you.
But I do like the direction the show is going - and when it reaches it's peak i'm sure i will love it. But it'll never have the emotional attachment Your Lie In April created by beautiful show-casing it's cast piece by piece as it became important to understand them.
Plastic Memories does this, with a single character, and the rest are left to dry. And i really do like mrs Tsundere, she's great, but she's not carrying the show for me.
Story: 6 Characters: 6 Animation: 8.5 over-all: 6.5
EDIT: Red head chick sucks. dude is in love with a robot. way too weird for me. I'd do it, perfect woman..it'd be great |

Everything Dies wrote:Gokukoku no Brynhildr (Brynhildr in the the Darkness) 7/10 Sci-fi/Supernatural/Harem Ten years ago, while looking for an alien that his friend Kuroneko swears she saw, Ryouta falls from a dam and ends up being hospitalized. Upon his release, he learns that Kuroneko was killed during the fall after she tried to save him. Ryouta, now in the 11th grade, spends his free time at a local observatory, wherein he continues to look for alien life. One day, a transfer student named Neko shows up at his school...and she bears a striking resemblance to Kuroneko. However, she tells Ryouta that he's mistaken as they've never met before. Soon enough, she informs Ryouta that she's here to save him as her friend has forecasted Ryouta's impending death; in doing so, Neko displays amazing powers that exceed that of any human. Refusing to accept that Neko and Kuroneko are not the same person, Ryouta journeys with her in a heartbreaking tale of aliens, magic, experiments and love... Look folks, this show is dark. Very dark. Death is unexpected and frequent and occasionally, soul-crushing. Ryouta is a fairly typical MC with one special ability (a photographic memory.) What sets him apart from typical MCs is that his greatest strength is his mind--when dealing with beings far more powerful than he, Ryouta must rely on his wits to save the day. The girls that come into his life are all tragic figures and it's damn near impossible not to develop an attachment to them...bring some tissues, people. I watched the uncensored version of the show, which delivers more gore/nudity. The whole harem/ecchi aspects of the show seem like an odd fit with the dark tone...and yet, looking back on it, it's entirely appropriate. The harem aspect isn't played up for comedy and the nudity isn't served up for fanservice; these are teenage kids coming together and, in the case of the girls, their first experience with building any sort of lasting relationship with other people, human or not. For some characters, the sensation of falling in love is alien (no pun intended) to them and they don't understand their own feelings, or why they're experiencing them. Other characters--including my favorite--recognize love for what it is and want to act on it while they have the chance. After all, how reserved would you be around the person you care about if you knew that your life will come to end sooner (much, much sooner) rather than later? It helps in this case that Ryouta is immensely dedicated to helping those around him--he repeatedly puts himself in harm's way for the sake of the girls for no reason other than the fact that he treasures their lives and wants to help them in any way that he can. Where the show struggles is in pacing--honestly, the entire school scenario is an unnecessary waste of time. Yes, I understand why the girls would dream of attending school...but given their health status and the ever-present threat of death, it's hard to picture them finding time to actually live such a life. That time would have been better served developing the plot and pushing forward major plot developments that are otherwise crammed into the final episodes. That said, it does make sense that the girls dream of experiencing a normal life as best they can. Of course, I could just be bitter about the fact that these episodes focus so much on developing attachments to characters that won't all survive to the end... The final story arc comes across as being rushed due to many revelations being made in such a short period of time, and several questions are left unanswered. Animation is solid, if not spectacular. Music can be pretty epic at times (particularly the second opening theme song.) Girls are attractive without being beautiful. Frequent nudity to be found while ecchi used for comedic purposes pops up on occasion. Verdict: If you can make it through the dark tone (think Elfenleid) it's worth a watch. Try your best not to get too fond of the characters...or else bring some tissues. Seriously, this show hits hard and doesn't pull any punches. For the Record: Team Kazumi, hands-down. Cast into the vixen role, she's the most outgoing and isn't shy about her desire for Ryouta. Though the show mostly plays up her sexual advances as a joke, she's obviously terrified about dying without experiencing true love and, being the constant butt of the joke, is insecure about her own body. Mucho kawaii!!!! I watched that long ago...I only cried a little
