either way there will always be an sp difference between the people who play almost every day and those that don't. but yeah it does seem like that, however I love blowing up their tank that costs real money on earth with my isk purchased tank

If you remove incentives to generate revenue then how do you turn a profit?
If you don't turn a profit how can you afford staff?
If you cant afford shortage how can you afford to do make timely updates, pay for servers, development expenses, etc?

You are getting a free game, to play for free on Psn(as a opposed to XBOX) and you are crying over a booster pack?

Your original post makes no reference to a "disappearing booster pack". If you are referring to the pack you didn't spend $20, the non existent booster, then you should uninstall the game.

That's an excellent observation. The booster user gets 50% more bonus SP in their bonus pool. So if/when the Bell Grande version, pr what ever the EFF they call it, is available those who purchase that will be that much more ahead in SP per week.

Well, unfortunately, somehow a lot of people don't think that SP gives an advantage. Don't ask me how they don't realize that more SP = stronger character = advantage over lower SP character; it's just the way it is around here it seems. I don't get how it's even debatable myself, some of these skill when leveled to 5 are equivalent to an advanced or prototype item added to your suit without taking up a slot. Yet people talk like that's no advantage.

Ever since the first beta builds of this game I've felt it had "grind to win" written all over it. Well now there's those booster items that you can buy that make you grind SP out that much faster. People like to say it's "pay to grind less", but (IMHO) it's "pay to grind faster". There's a difference between the two, with boosters your SP cap is significantly higher allowing for more SP. AKA, more of an advantage over other players who don't have it.

What do I consider a pay to win game? A game that gives you an advantage over other players if you fork over some money. Is this not what happens in Dust?

After around 15 mil SP I imagine the playing field will even out more but I have to wonder how long it will take people to make it there and how much patience many players will have. Skill will always be a factor but you can't deny obvious advantages.

Not to mention the difference between isk contact grenades and the AUR fused locus grenades. Saw a thread about that awhile back that pointed it out to me and wow.. =/
