Just a thread where people can vent about the little things that get on their last nerve in DUST.
I've got two things.
1) Heavies who can back pedal faster than a scout can run forwards toward them
2) People who strafe non kitten stop. I know it's a tactic but god is it a kitten annoying one. |

yeah.. probably shouldn't be running MLT tanks not the best of things to take to battle. That aside don't underestimate the power of packed AV nades they do alot of damage especially at PRO level*.
*most people have PRO level AV nades so their actually quite common right now

Going nuts with Dust implies anger. I'm past that stage in my grief for dust. I'm more in the acceptance stage, in that I expect the game won't change much. I keep trying it once a week, sometimes two, hoping it becomes a real FPS but it's still the same broken game.

Economy, Industry, MEANINGFUL EVE-DUST connection, MCC Commanders, Drones
things not working as advertised, primarily needles, lesser extent nanos/drop links simply despawning after landing at an 'odd' angle(propped up on like a rock or something most commonly), or sliding 50 meters down a MINOR incline...
the 727,560 SP grind to get from enhanced to complex mods, leaving a gap between the proper SP builds and New-Bros or poor builds... |

Well I recently got PX5 turtlebeach headset and was excited to use it for Dust. It drives me crazy because I can hear LAVs from so far away and it seems like there isn't much variation in the noise of them until they're within a dangerous range. So I keep acting like there's an LAV somewhere near me strictly due to the noise and I look around and eventually find out its pretty far away.
I remember using turtle beach on COD4 and how much I loved it, the sounds in that game were awesome.. I could really pin point where the action was and where enemies were when they shot and all that good stuff. Dust seems to not be as great when it comes to sound though, I don't even find hearing foot steps to be of much use. Gunfire is hit and miss and that should be the easiest indicator.
Still, very annoying when I'm jumping around and getting to high ground and doing abnormal things to avoid an LAV when it's nowhere near me xD |

Seriously, different indicators please. I know I can look at my HP butter when being shot from both teams is still hard to tell. |

1. Anti vehicle grenades bouncing off the hood of LAVs and falling to the ground undetonated or disappear in the textures, or even sometimes disappearing into the LAV - behind the front seats.
2.All drop suits get neutral colours, except logibro's. Why must they wear a high visibility colour.
3. Gunning down a drop ship with a forge gun and accidently killing a passenger instead, and splash damage not applying it's radius. I guess it's the same issue with grenades, stuff is not applying collision damage on various surfaces.
4. The kill screen doesn't have enough info about vehicles and odd damage sources.

1. Getting shot at by actual leveled up AV weapons then the last shot coming from a militia grade weapon, makes it seem like militia gear does the same work as standard to prototype AV.
2. Getting killed even after you get in cover just like in COD when your running in cover and you think youv jumped into 3 feet of cover while instead your actually 5 inches away from it and you die.
3. Getting constantly ran over by militia LAVs and standard to prototype AV grenades and even a tank mounted advanced rail gun can one shot a FREE MILITIA LAV.
4. Getting matched up going against players who know what the hell their doing while your with a team of noobs that known nothing about the game and just runs around shooting everything hoping to get an instant 1 shot kill.
5. Driving a tank the way you know how and blues just start hoping in your turret seats and start randomly shooting around wanting you to go another direction and them thinking that now they cant be killed because their in a tank, ITS NOT ******* EASY TO DRIVE A DAMN TANK, ITS JUST LIKE YOU ASSAULTERS RUNNING AROUND AND SHOOTING, we drive around covering your asses from people you cant see or reach. |

"COD kid"? Are you kidding me? I played COD4 and I actually felt that was a good game, the guns were very balanced and I thought the map design was excellent. The killstreaks weren't overboard and were able to be countered. No COD after #4 I have enjoyed, every COD afterwards has been complete and utter trash because all it does is promote camping and broken perks in combination with ridiculous no skill kill streaks. The only COD games I'll stand by are COD4 and COD Finest Hour, back when COD was actually good and not just about aim assist and killstreaks.
I've played MANY more FPS games than just COD, so don't even try to call me a "COD kid" you friggin scrub. I remember you always QQing and calling people hackers in MAG, why don't you go back to making excuses on why you're bad? Speaking of, you're one of the noobs who always calls in LAVs now that they've been over buffed so you can get a decent KDR but still not do good? Right. The only reason you're name is even remotely remembered from MAG is from your QQ posts about "hackers" which were actually legit players just pwning you that were better than you. That's the worst thing to be remembered from MAG from, and for you to even be so active in these forums and try to call out ex-MAG players, LOL, what do you think your history has been erased because its a new game?

but yeah, im glad to see im not the only one annoyed by unfulfilled promises of greatness, i was beginning to think i was the only one who was accepting that fact...
also annoying, the bonus sp system, i realize its to encourage people to actually play, but it feels like im being punished if i dont play(afk camp) the 50+ battles to get the extra 190k sp... all for the hope that maybe one day, SOONGäó, the game will be a finished product that will actually be worth playing again... i miss the old single MCC rush mode, i miss when needles worked semi frequently, i miss when heavies and tanks actually felt like they did their job, and required more than one guy with an SMG or standard AV grenades to take out... though i do NOT miss dumb-fire swarms... |

also lack of more meaningful dust eve link at this stage. if this game is to pull the masses from other shooters it need to have its key inovation shown off a bit. |

Another thing - Sprint toggle.
I need to research if I can disable it, but I HATE when I'm sprinting and if I accidentally press L3 it will toggle between sprinting and running.
It really sucks when things get frantic. |

When you press to use the random spawn in ambush, but it puts you on the uplink that's being camped anyway. |

Jump from spaceship = ok. Jump from 10ft ledge = shield damage and sound of Broken legs.
Turret missiles going way off target, even when leading and compensating for vehicle velocity.
Nova knives not being scary.
Heavies only being scary in rare circumstances.
Iron sights on space rifles.
Can't abort swarm launcher firing once you're locked on a target.
No deployable turrets or emplacements like in promo videos.
Drop uplinks lit up like Christmas trees on map.
Grenade spamming at nano hives / supply depots.
Can carry 3 grenades but can't mix grenade types.
NOVA cannons pointing straight up instead of at the enemy MCC. They look like drop pods, not AA emplacements.
The facilities look "odd". They don't resemble proper industrial complexes or functional complexes, they feel thrown together.
Holo map in war barge doesn't work.
They "fixed" the fitting screen damage modifier indicator.... by removing it.
Ambush game mode contains zero ambushes, instead it is a skirmish and should be called by that name.
Amarr assault bonus is silly.
Caldari logi shield bonus is even sillier.
PvE shown in promo videos. No PvE.
Yes, I COULD complain all day.
