I agree that some peoples names are pretty ridiculous, but I don't really agree with your overall statement.

I think that even if Adolf ******'s name was "Adolf Poopypants" We would still be learning about him in school. You might argue that it would have been impossible for him to rise to power with that name and that may be true. Then I would say, even if Ted Kaczynski (the unibomber) was named "Buttsqueeze Mcgee" he would still be the unibomber, and still be in the history books.

(note: apparently Adolf's last name is censored by the auto-filter, but I'm sure you all know who I'm talking about.)

Also for corporations, back in beta when I was messing around with them I'd always name them something that sounds like a real corporation name. But then again, I've always been interested in lore and role playing in pretty much every game I've ever had.

It was intresting, in the same way reading evelopedia is intresting. But it read like fan fiction in both quality and depth. It wasn't worth the money I paid for it. CCP Abrasomething is a far better writer. His mind is wonderfully imaginative and a little twisted and man can he write. Id wager tony is hooked on that whole new yourk write scene vibe. Name selection on character creation screen with a sizable chunk of surnames to choose from and a given name generator with some pretty tight parameters would do the trick.
