I find it easier to throw three scrambler shots at them to destroy the shields and partial armour, the run the rest with and SMG. |

Yes but most other suits have significantly more shielding. |

Flux grenades will neither kill you nor do they detonate on contact. Shield based suits are also faster. I played Cal Logi for nearly a month and was successfully fluxed fewer than 10 times.
The difference in effectiveness is quite large. |

That's because they're using they aren't using proto. 7.2 is damn near unavoidable when reacting to one thrown since they auto-detonate. |
