Calling people virgins in a gaming forum is classic
Make sure to spam that in every thread or else you just seem like a Imp hater. |

We tried and got our faces spat on. Yeah this...and reading the OP makes me think otherwise. If imps are "in a position of power" then they don't need to reach out. They could simply stop attacking. ... And yes with two sentences I just shredded the OPs wall of text into tiny squares for the trash. I don't know if Spero is lying but the OP definitely is. O wow - you're quickgloves. Bro - you should of just came forward - your main banned or what? No wonder you only post on these kinds of threads.

We tried and got our faces spat on. collectively? Thats a lot of individual spitting otherwise. Kane got his face spat on - admittlly. The rest of us are just OP weapon users who can't win a 1v1 to save our lives. And we're apperently the scum of the earth over a video game Lol |

while I don't think negotiations were perfect on either side, I will say that neither person is a diplomat by trade and these things happen.
idle and not so idle threats aside
Kane coming from a position on high isn't necessarily a good thing in this case. though he may very well have earned it. starting off negotiations from a position of superiority is unsavory. it's the sort of thing that makes the other person just wanna spite you which is naturally not the goal of a negotiation.
for me at least the negotiation boiled down to this: give us you districts and future channels might open or we will take your districts
well what is the value of the proposed future channels? is good (is it good?) footing with the imps worth it? STB loses the districts either way why wouldn't STB fight it out? also there is the question of the safety of future STB districts which Kane not-so-tactfully avoids, that was a major point of the negotiations, vaugeries like "there is a cool down" wont cut it, specifics were required. why would STB give up it's districts if the new ones earned were subject to the same fate a week later?
then there was the contract set at 50 mill a district, an answer was needed here. a polite no would have been fine really but some answer or written decline of the propose terms was necessary.
mistakes were made on both sides of the table. putting yourself in your enemies shoes might make their motives clear.
I'm no expert and i might have missed something if so please point it out, ko6 The districts were to be given back once our uses for them were over if I'm reading the script right - it wasn't about setting up a proper relationship with STB - both sides knew that to be impossible from the level of egos involved. The point was so to quicken things - but QG stalled and insulted. At worst we would of given the districts contractors wanted and left - where you guys would have to deal with the new-comers by diplomacy or strong-arming them.
So there would of been no threat of re-imp invasion. But you guys forget we're a merc group first - if someone paid us enough you would be in jeopardy again - but so would any corp in PC. That's just how it is. You asking for a perma-defense from Imps is simply not possible. A grace period is the best that can be offered. And it would of been of pretty good length of time period too.
Everything would of been fine if QG hadn't opened his big mouth and insulted us where he thought we weren't looking. The Rap song didn't help much either. Imps are reasonable - until you "Spit" in there face as QG so elegantly puts it. |

Imps are reasonable - until you "Spit" in there face as QG so elegantly puts it. I'm simply working off the transcripts, your internal plans aren't up for debate as they can't be proven unless you have timestamped chat logs verified by 2 or more independent sources. If you have that feel free to bring them forward. the negotiations open with kane stating he only wants 4 districts... holy sh*t this is like the opening of WWII with you playing the part of gremany... historical parallels aside. no proof has been brought to validate your claim and it will be dismissed. [7:58:26 PM] Kane Spero: The facts are you have an option to vacate that will allow us to work in the future. leaving my previous statement intact. If you're not even informed of your own leaders posts it's no wonder you're in here asking questions. The thread pertaining your evidence was flagged and deleted. Check your groups FB page and look for when QG is saying he negotiated with kane and spat in his face, then a while later as a comment to that thread says they may be selling districts for 50 mil each and moving to two planets. You don't need time stamps to know that all took place during these transcripts as he is literally talking about the conversation as it is taking place.
And stop with your petty insults before checking any facts. We pwnd you - get over it. You were lucky to even get an offer. Sorry Kane's tone turned you guys emo. |

I'm no expert and i might have missed something if so please point it out, ko6 What you fail to see in all this is that it wasn't negotiations and it wasn't diplomatic. What mistakes? It was simply kain telling QG he had 2 options which were: Get out or Get out. We all know QG persona and intelligence level do you really think kain went into that discussion with any expectations? We planned to attack and never changed course. Kain used the small window between our districts unlocking and us attacking to offer QG a way out. QG didn't take him up on it and that as they say is history So why did you guys even bother having this 'discussion' with QG? If you want it take it! Diplomacy is for pussies! Enjoy tea and a chat, sure beats playing an FPS. Are you really asking why we tried to talk to them to speed things up? If you can't comprehend something that's been said on this thread in 5 different posts maybe you shouldn't post?
And we did enjoy taking it all from them in the end ;) |
