We played confrontation from the month long 'beta' that consisted of crossroads, crossroads, o yea and crossroads... and then proceeded to play confrontation for the next 2 years, playing numerous tournaments and being an extremely competitive clan. The last major patch they made that completely altered core gameplay was when we moved on.
S4 was honestly the black eye of 'socom' as it really was nothing that resembled the reat of the series. Some of us played it for a couple months but most never got past the beta cause it was a bad game.
In the meantime we've messed around on various COD installments and other games, but this is the first game in some time we've settled on being competitive in some time.
Lots of great new members we've met as well and looking forward to what's to come! |

im assuming you are a GB nerd from the days of old, measuring your e-peen on whatever the clan of the month was, as they disbanded every 45-60 days (read the fine print this was always to be expected).
most of what we did were long running tournaments with other like minded clans. We got out of the GB world when we realized it didn't matter how good or bad you were, it was all about what refs you were friends with and who would back you no matter what.
We don't cheat, don't abuse mechanics, and most of all possess integrity. We would pub it up when nothing was going on, but most often we would log on, make a private room to warm up, and spend all night warring, being in up to 3 different tournaments at the same time. Needless to say we stayed busy for along time and the fact that you never saw us probably meant you were not in the tournaments and leagues we were participating.
All of which didn't just let in any old TV repairman... u needed credentials to gain admittance, and they really looked down upon forum jockeys and random shitbums that thought they mattered in their own little E-world.
so sorry u never heard of us, and I'm sorry I never heard of you, and also notice I don't use alts to say whats on my mind ;-)

Na we had fun in gb for quite some time, but it seemed any time we would face a small handful of particular clans, there would always be something fishy and even with proof we got the same result each time. We were competitive when we are on it, but it just wasn't our thing in the long run. Im not bashing gb as a whole, as it provided outstanding organized competition but the abuse of things and poor control over it is what made us look elsewhere for competition. Never been into the drama, just wanna play and u know the drama that came with gb over the long haul :) |
