I join in an Ambush match. Everything is going all smooth and fine for the first 10 seconds. Then during the entire match the enemy team deploys about 10+ Spawn Uplinks around the map or all clustered together.
Now it would be understandable if it was a Domination match but on Ambush? and even on Skirmish too. That's a little annoying.
From a tactically placed Spawn Uplink to lolsdrop uplinks everywheres :p
Not a serious issue. NOT ASKING FOR A NERF!
Just wondering if I am the only person that gets annoyed by it :/ |

Perfectly viable strategy, though I wouldn't mind a grenade specifically designed for taking out all equipment in a relatively large area. And yes, I know about the flux grenade. And no, that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about something that doesn't even harm dropsuits but has a very generous area of effect. |

I get annoyed by it because the anti spawn-killing radar radius added in uprising means that every uplink littering your path is also giving away your position! Abusers/users of this side-benefit will claim that its because uplinks can be spotted from the moon and spamming them is the only solution, but all my scout/ninja brethren know the truth! |

Kinda useless in Ambush unless placed at high points, but in the end it's just good habit practice for PC matches |

Me and my friends were playing ambush and we got 5 ganes in a row were the enemy team spammed them like crazy. It's annoying because: 1. It blocks more than half of my minimap and HUD 2. You can't get near them without a cloaked heavy rap*ng you |

For Ambush i imagine people are dropping them for the extra WP and SP...CCP decided to make us all grind for SP so blame them and their crappy RPG style leveling system and their choice to use horrible game design.
For skirmish uplinks can be the difference between winning and losing the match. |

Gee, I wish there was some futuristic variation of a grenade launcher that could counter blob tactics that wasn't nerfed to the ground and bugged to the levels of novelty. It could drive the masses away from their uplinks, or disorient them enough for your squad can flank them. If only.... |

If people place them well they can be of huge benefit on assault. Spawning in the middle of your team who's holding a position is MUCH better than spawning right infront of a while squad of enemies with no cover nearby as happens so often on assault. |

EMP grenades is what we need... something that will knock out equipment and vehicles for a set period of time. Just long enough to set up a BBQ would be perfect. |
