As a development idea:
EVE has PI but as we do all the planet based fighting, we should be able to oust them off planets. Conversely, they can hire mercs to defend their PI infrastructure once we put it into some form of a reinforcement. We can let Pilots use the planet but they owe us a tax. POCO idea is cool too but we should rule planets not let pilot freeloaders harvest resources that belong to the boots on the ground. As for not all planets being hospitable that's why we have our advanced combat suits. Also requiring proto suits to survive in harsh climates would be neat. Feedback on this idea? |

I dare to dream with dust now.
It used to be that ideas like yours was the bedrock of our hope, of why this game could be great. Now I dunno. A half broken FPS with little to show other than a good levelling system and the mooks on this forum even cry about that.
Maybe in 4-5 years when this game leaves beta and is fully integrated with EO that we will fight over worlds that we can call our own, me, I would settle for having the rush game mode back. |

It can be a 150 mil island a week profit per player so that isn't exactly neglyoigible. |

If you do it in W-space then how are you going to get mercs there to attack it?
Also, 150 mil a week in EVE is nothing. You can make that in a couple hours of good farming. |

Point is its painless for EVE players as it is now its free income.
what standings are you talking about in null? I did PI in the misaba null (old CVA space) area just need a cloaky hauler. I'm sure we could get a few enterprising pilots to drop us off. And once we are there well :D.
As for WH (where I currently live in a C4) how do you get anything into WH space(ie POS fuel)? As an added incentive WH pilots may need is if CCP adds sleeper npcs that attack PI infrasstructure requiring mercs to cull the infestation.
Edit: you'll find graymedic is shoot on site in that area for having a habit of bombing haulers doing PI lol |
