It's weird-- it seems that the problem isn't so much that you're listed as the enemy as much as the two team colors aren't universal. What I mean is, if you look at the leaderboard in the lobby before the match starts, one side (using your example, Gallentei) is listed as the blue team, while the other (Caldari) is the red team, regardless of which one you're actually on. This carries over to the map screen, where the red team's name will appear on the right, over the enemy's clone reserve and MCC shield information, regardless of whether or not the red team is actually the enemy. So if you're on the "Red" team (Caldari) but winning, it'll look like:
Blue//Red 27--//--12

Regis Blackbird wrote:I have seen this as well many times, and it is by far the most confusing aspect of the game for me (half the matches I am unsure which side I am actually on)
An example from yesterday: Me and a squad played a domination match (Dai Lai vs Guristas) around 09:30 GMT. Before the game started, we could see we were part of the Guristas (defender, RED) on the team board. When the game started, we were blue (as always), but the name of the blue team on the spawn screen was Dai Lai ? (above clone count etc). During the entire match we could see the "Guristas" team (red) MCC taking damage until 0, and we won by MCC destruction and got the victory screen. I checked the team board during the game and we were still listed on the Guristas team?
My guess is that the spawn screen shows the wrong name (team board is correct). I guess you see this whenever you are on the defending team (red), and thus have a "color swap" in the game (since you are always blue in game). In quick matches this can be easily overlooked since you get assigned by random, but in faction warfare (when you select sides) this becomes more evident.
Soo, the question still stands, which side were we on yesterday?
You were on the Guristas, but everything but the leaderboard that's actually colored red and on the right side represents the enemy team. So you're on the "red" team, but that only has a noticeable effect on the leaderboard. During the match proper, clone counts and MCC health/shields for your own team will always appear in blue and on the left.
But the team names on the map don't swap sides accordingly. |
