You know... I've loved my 360 for the most part (never did the Kinect thing). Just thought it was a solid console... after, you know, all the flaming xbox things got hammered out.
I don't know what Microsoft is thinking this next-gen though. They've managed to alienate gamers everywhere, and they're handing Sony the "more powerful console" award out of the gate so they can shoehorn motion-controlled DVR functions & achievements in to the console. I'm flabbergasted really. They did pretty decently with the first two xboxen.
So, they put all this... fecal matter in the console that gamers don't care about, and add all these restrictions that gamers will actively hate. Then they completely botch making any sort of coherent/cohesive statements about what will actually be happening with their console, and avoid assuaging the fears of their current base. Now their "solution" is to avoid any Q&A with journalists at E3, have exclusive only on Spike, and try to buy out publishers to try to build an image the their features are plainly at odds with?
What happened to you Microsoft? Console wars are competitions; you're not supposed to forfeit before the match starts... |
