... I've been looking forward to using the HMG wearing the Minmatar Heavy Dropsuit since the concept art was released at fan fest and yet I'm still waiting and this is creating a very small yet significant problem. What do I do in the meantime?

So if you haven't heard (perhaps the rock was too heavy for you to lift this morning), Planetside 2 is being released for the PlayStation 4. I still haven't managed to play it myself as I have a non existent gaming PC but after spending a few hours researching, I believe DUST is about to sail through a rather large storm.

Now I love EVE. I got hooked on the game before I had even downloaded the trial due to both the fictional lore and player created stories. It's for that reason alone that I wanted to give DUST a go. I played it for a while during the open BETA and I've been on and off since the official release and at first, I really did enjoy myself but now I'm struggling to find a reason to continue playing. We're all aware of the problems so I have no need to go through them but I will say this; releasing a game that has half its basic content missing is a real gut punch. What do I do in the meantime? I've been told that we won't be getting another re-spec so it would be nothing more than a waste of ISK, skill points and time if I were to venture into using Amarr gear (Christ that race is f-ugly). I'm also not prepared to invest any amount of time playing an ALT so in a sense, I can't play (by my choosing).

That being said, I want to love this game and part of me already does but that's only because of it's connection to EVE which is so wrong. Making love to my left hand would seem far more normal at this point.

So far, I can't wait for Planetside 2 to rescue me. Change my mind CCP.
