So this is the THIRD TIME I'm trying to type this. At first, I was trying to be witty and clever and present to you guys...
But doing some research, I was getting tired. So then I planned on doing just a simple data dump of what I had....
So here we go:
Yes, CCP, I know....
But Planetside 2 is coming to the PS4...
Yes, but Planetside 2 runs on Torchlight...
But DC Universe Online runs on the Unreal Engine 3 too...
Well, DUST 514 is a PS3 exclusive remember...
So was Planetside 2... oh I used that already? So was Blacklight: Retribution....
Well you'll probably have to pay for...
Planetside 2, Blacklight: Retribution, and Warframe (which by the way, was also a PC exclusive) are all shooter games that will follow the free-to-play, micro-transaction model.
*More to follow... what do you guys think so far?* |

Aquinarius Zoltanus wrote:Why do you people continue to post about Planetside 2. I really couldn't care less. Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh..... I knew I was going to be taken the wrong way...
Not your fault, I didn't really finish up my post yet....
Actually, I haven't played Planetside or Planetside 2. I don't really think it's going to be as good as Dust...
But again, I haven't finished yet. That and I was using Planetside as an example to say "*ahem* Hey CCP, you may have some competition...."
Anyways, I'll finish up my post... (I'm really tempted to say Soon(TM)... lol) |

Agreed, DUST has one thing going for it and a little competition might kick them in the butt enough to push a little harder. We don't know CCP's plan on the PS4 so we shouldn't write them but pressure and time can be a good thing, ask any diamond. From what I've seen, competition has always been a good thing and has helped progress whatever the thing was to be harder, better, faster, stronger...
(cwatididthar?)
I have more faith in Dust knowing that CCP has some similar genre games with similar business models attached to them. They are no longer the monopoly in nullsec and will have to start to fight over that territory.
Here's hoping there are diamonds in the DUST... er... rough...
