Hit the market?
I know they are pretty much place holders, but I'm just curious. |

It would be kind of neat to see something other than the Gallente AR once in a while. |

The answer is on the forum although I can't find it now.
To paraphrase;
Devs said that all 4 races will have thier own versions of the assault rifle. All the Assault Rifles will have 4 versions; a main version and 3 attempts to mimic the tactical roles of the other races weapons. So for example the Gallente TAC rifle is an attempt to mimic the Amarr scrambler rifle using Gallente technology.
Im sure someone will provide the link of the thread were this is dicussed. Search doesn;t seem to work for me somhow. |

Actually I found it.
Heres the page read it yourself.
Edit (im feeling helpful, heres the quote).
CCP Remnant wrote:
They won't be removed, no, but they will be tweaked slightly. The idea being that each race will have it's base variant be Assault, (Gallente) Burst (Minmatar), Breach (Caldari) or Tactical (Amarr) and then the variants are a specific race's take on the others using their own tech. So, you'd get an Assault Rail Rifle that attempts to somewhat mimic the behavior of the Gallente Assault Rifle and a Tactical Assault Rifle that attempts to mimic the Amarr Scrambler Rifle and so on.

Wow, thank you. So gallente are set, and the amarr should be getting another few rifles.
Again, thank you. |

No problem.
Yup pretty much.
All the gallente need are a heavy suit, a heavy weapon and a side arm.
Im wondering if gallente shotgun, minmatar mass driver, amarr laser rifle fit into a "special" weapon catergory, or will all races get thier own versions.
As we know there are also going to be racial sniper rifles. So I wonder what th caldari special weapon is and what the Amarr and Minmatar anti vehicle weapons will be.
Gonna be fun finding out. |

It's a little mind-boggling that it's a "released" game and it's missing 3/4 of its content. |

If they did noone would notice, they're mostly useless.
IMHO CCP should be making the "placeholder" rifles as close to the actual rifles now so they can see how they perform and tweak before release. The breach and burst rifles are rarely used. |

Actually every racial gun will have a variant that tries to be another races gun, for example the TACAR tries to be a Scrambler rifle, while the Automatic scrambler rifle tries to be a AR. |

This is how CCP works, go look back at the beginning of Eve there were very few ships to start off with then they gave you more and more as time went on... Makes the balance ever changing so u cant play one game style and beat everyone all the time like in CoD... aka quickscoping snipers are always OP

They are a mere attempt to replicate so therefor they shouldnt be used nearly as much but when the other versions are made they will save you 600k+ Sp of having to research minmatar burst rifles just to have a burst rifle variant |
