9k online 2 weeks ago seems so far away... I think the highest I've seen since then is 7k ish including weekends. Veterans are leaving due to long stand bugs in the game (over a year old) and slow progress on developing content (it amazes me we don't have all the racial suites and it sounds like most of our weapons are actually placeholders for other weapons that are coming soontm). New players are faced with a player base that does 40%+ more damage than them with 400% more HP and a grind that will take them 4-5 months to be competitive enough to participate effectively in PC, and if they want to cut that time down to 3 months it costs at least $60 USD AUR in order to fund the active and passive boosters.
We are constantly barraged with ads to buy AUR with prices that range on the ridiculous (How could any merc pack be worth $99 USD) with the devs failing horribly even with the simple task of putting items ont he market place (still not isk fused locus nades, and the proto charged sniper rifle retained it's standard isk cost of 2,500 ISK).
I have 23 days left on my last active booster, after that I really don't know if I will keep playing. I've invest a lot of time and money into dust but with each passing day it feels more and more like a bad investment. CCP has teased the player base with grand promises, however has overlooked the foundation of the game which in all honesty after the year and a half I spent testing the game shouldn't be the case. At launch we shouldn't be dealing with mic glitches, massive FPS drops, memory leaks, infinite loading screens, walls that grab you, terrain that glitches, and terrible aiming mechanics.
TLDR: QQ, I've invested a lot of time and effort into the game but while I've had fun I think the ride will be over soon.
Lol I even got an error trying to post this how fitting. |

May I suggest:
Multiple games where a quad-kill is scored with a single RE Having destroyed a Gunloggi with a combo of REs and AV nades Having destroyed 3 LAVs in a single match by using REs as proxy mines Scored 14kills in one match using ONLY REs
(I may be getting bored with this game, but I just run around using mainly REs almost every match now)

I have to kind of agree. This is my first day in the game, and there seemed to be no direction for which a new player could take. It feels like it is P2W because of all the random ads to buy AUR and players that are more powerful than the new players. I don't have any trouble taking down a lot of people because I'm always at the top of the leaderboard maintaining a 3.23 K/D and taking objectives, but my teammates are just cannon fodder.
This game has promise and I like it, but it seems to be flawed. Also, the aiming is a little janky. At first it was a problem and I got used to it, but I nearly stopped playing at first because of how weird and awkward it is. |

You ain't the only that finds yourself playing less and less buddy. Getting close to finishing my gundam. Feel no need to jump to another suit. So right now its just getting the sp to compliment the suit. But more and more, I've been playing less and just letting the passive sp to most of the work. |

At the moment I'm just capping out every week and honestly: I mostly do it afk in Instant Battles. These battles aren't really worth anything and the rewards for losing and winning are almost the same. So why sweat it? This way I'll have a decent amount of SP when the game gets it's next update which hopefully will add trading, PvE, new maps, gameplay modes and, most important of all, finally balancing changes which do include that the winning team actually gets something for winning. |

This isn't a matter of "completely perfect"... this game is barely even release worthy.
Between the almost insane imbalances, faulty hit detection, some bug ridden weapons that are near unusable and impassable terrain glitches...
This is probably one of the first games I've ever played that went into a release state looking quite so **** poor. And I've played Final Fantasy 14, a game so poorly developed at launch they eventually issued a formal apology and took the game down to rebuild it from the ground up based on player feedback. |

Of course there are less people on around Mondays and Tuesdays as most players met their cap and are taking a break. However 7k is still not much of a drop off from the 9k peak.
As far as the weapon variations simply being placeholders, you are sort of correct. CCP said that the weapon variants are that faction's attempt to mimic another faction's style but not quite. For instance, the Tactical Assault Rifle is an attempt to mimic the Scrambler Rifle but they are not quite the same weapon. |

Tactical assault isn't suppose to mimic the scramble rifle. One: scrambler rifle came out after the TAR and Two: the TAR is supposed to be the place holder for the caldari rail gun rifle that will be coming out soon. |

One: Just because it came out first has nothing to do with it. Simply which gun CCP felt was ready for the public first. Two: The Caldari Rail Rifle is supposed to be similar to the Breach Assault Rifle. Also none of them are place holders as they will still exists when the new weapons arrive. Three: Don't act like I'm wrong because I'm merely parroting what CCP Devs have already stated here on the forums. |

Obviously player numbers are going to drop.
You don't release a console game ever without some PVE content (missions, exploration) to keep you coming back and achievements (trophies) to unlock.
You can mess around trying to balance pvp as much as you want but that wont ever be good enough. You need content and lots of it. |

there's reason to play, depends how much you like the game and what level you are at in regards to SP. I can't see new players sticking through the kind for light at the end of the tunnel.
we need the dust-eve implementation, new maps and game modes, FAST!
with all that bein said the game is more fun the more upgrades you get, it is worth it in the end. however I did NOT enjoy this game for quite a while. |

trying to read this post gave me cancer....
there are gameplay issues that could be addressed, forcing a player to spend 2 weeks to get to enhanced modules, then another 4 weeks to get to complex mods is a bit rediculous... if they dropped the level req for complex mods from 5 to 4, it would make the new-bros more competitive faster, while giving the bitter vets something to sink SP into after unlocking their equipment. i am only suggesting make the modules more accessible, not the dropsuits, weapons, or equipment.
as for the hype... oh god the hype... CCP and the players who have followed this game since the first announcements and demos back in 2009(myself included), have created so much hype for this game... the problem is, that CCP has not released many of the hyped features... how can a game be expected to live up to the hype without even delivering the content they talk about...
MEANINGFUL EVE-DUST connection... thriving player-driven economy... industry... MCC Commanders... installation variety... PVE content...
and dont even try to argue that the EVE-DUST connection is there.. its limited almost exclusively to social aspects... or only applies to 1 of the dozens of regions in EVE, of which many players dont spend much time in lowsec... reference starmap coded by security status, Blue, Green, and Yellows are Empire, Oranges are Lowsec, and RED is null. http://pcg.wdfiles.com/local--files/pcg-games%3Aeve-online/eveuniverse.jpg |

I agree. So much deception. The game is far from mature and it will take another years and even more. It seem for me they have internal issues.
The vision of the game is suppose to be hold by someone but the game as a whole doesn't make sense. Every single mechanics are not properly linked to other mechanics. This is a big red flag for a MMO.
I won't made Dust law suit here, but after been ripped by CCP after the "Planetary Lag Conquest", I told all my corp' member we will chill and relax while waiting for a game to become mature.
I hope Dust team will change for the best ans start deliver good and quality stuff. By this this I will long time to time to check my passive SP.
CCP told us it a decade project. Good to know, I'll be back in a year or two :)
