lol made a new thread... though I think this error speaks louder about how fail dust is than my post ever could lol :p
Original post:
9k online 2 weeks ago seems so far away... I think the highest I've seen since then is 7k ish including weekends. Veterans are leaving due to long stand bugs in the game (over a year old) and slow progress on developing content (it amazes me we don't have all the racial suites and it sounds like most of our weapons are actually placeholders for other weapons that are coming soontm). New players are faced with a player base that does 40%+ more damage than them with 400% more HP and a grind that will take them 4-5 months to be competitive enough to participate effectively in PC, and if they want to cut that time down to 3 months it costs at least $60 USD AUR in order to fund the active and passive boosters.
We are constantly barraged with ads to buy AUR with prices that range on the ridiculous (How could any merc pack be worth $99 USD) with the devs failing horribly even with the simple task of putting items ont he market place (still not isk fused locus nades, and the proto charged sniper rifle retained it's standard isk cost of 2,500 ISK).
I have 23 days left on my last active booster, after that I really don't know if I will keep playing. I've invest a lot of time and money into dust but with each passing day it feels more and more like a bad investment. CCP has teased the player base with grand promises, however has overlooked the foundation of the game which in all honesty after the year and a half I spent testing the game shouldn't be the case. At launch we shouldn't be dealing with mic glitches, massive FPS drops, memory leaks, infinite loading screens, walls that grab you, terrain that glitches, and terrible aiming mechanics.
TLDR: QQ, I've invested a lot of time and effort into the game but while I've had fun I think the ride will be over soon. |

All of the problems that exist today existed a year an a half ago. Don't hold your breath that they will be fixed quickly.
I had the "I'm sticking with it and will be optimistic" viewpoint roughly 6 months ago, a year into beta testing this game. I hear a lot of optimism from the crowd of open beta testers, but I feel thats mainly due to to the short amount of time you have been apart of the development of this game.
The game is starting to bleed vets, and isn't sustaining new players. Hopes and dreams will only carry the game so far. |
