How much ISK do you think a proto HAV will cost when CCP finally gets to releasing them? 5mil? 10mil? For that kind of cost, it'd better be able to take an entire team of AV to take one out... (and not just militia, a full team of advanced and proto AV)

Anyways, I was simply exaggerating my point that the cost for a proto HAV (or any proto vehicle for that matter) be worth the price tag |

Considering that HAV skills go to 5 yet you only need on or 3 if you want a role specific one they better go the direction of higher tier tanks that are actually hard to kill |

Hope proto tanks never come. It already takes 3 people to take a well specced shield tank, or call in another tank which is extremely risky. |

In the current state of swarms one with a few damage mods will ultimately trump proto tank. |

Now more specialist vehicles I can see but I dont think they're going to ever introduce Adv or Prototype level Vehicles (technically all the specialist vehicles are normal grade as well) |

So will we ever get prototype modules? If we will never see vehicles that can match AV can we at least have some gear to close the gap? |

If they don't give us proto AV, then they have to take away proto AV bc it is the definition of unbalanced.
My hopes are that the balance stays the same because 1 forge gun cannot kill a std tank...it takes about 3 and they have to corner the tank. So 1 proto tank could take 3 ishukones or 3 wirykomi breaches and be ok if it doesnt get cornered. I'd pay 10 mil for that kind of power.
Then the great tank destroyer pilots would be the most valuable person in the game bc only tanks can kill tanks- as it should be at the proto level.
I'll be honest though, Id probably never buy one on my own coin bc I think i'd ragequit this game if I lose one in a pub. |

right now the problem is that no one runs av and so all the tanks are "OP" becuase there is no AV to take them out.
the hardy every present lav is actually a good thing for tanks as it will cause an ever present AV force which will then allow tanks to be buffed to where they were a while back where it took 3-5 guys to take a good one down. back when it was fun to be AV.
I miss those days, but AV is once again a viable tree this build so I have high hopes for tanks in the near future. |

They already went the route of needing an entire team to take out a tank, they got hit with the nerf hammer. I have no problem saying it should take 3 ppl with proto lined up as a firing squad to take out a proto tank, but that's my own version of balance. The problem is that it will rarely ever happen in a pub match and ppl will rage about it. Not sure how to make ppl okay with needing 3 proto av's to stop a tanks rampage. |

If you want it to take 3 coordinated proto AV guys to take out a tank then it should take 3 times the SP comparatively to use a tank, proto dropsuits included. |

From what I have seen so far, the route CCP is taking with vehicles is similar to the system CCP uses for EVE.
Tech I Vehicles... Basic pretty much not specialised. Tech II Vehicles.... Advanced, Specialised for Defensive Capabilities, Offensive Capabilities and much more in the future. e.g. Black Ops Vehicles, E War Vehicles, etc. The problem is that since this is a first person shooter they need to be careful due to how much people are used to the current typical AAA shooter. Which has a very small learning curve while remaining true to EVE and its style of MMO. It's a tough balance between learning curve and item balance. Though I'm worried about LAVs getting Cloaking devices, due to the current Murder Taxi fad. |

Yet anything infantry gets advanced and prototype stuff
Tell me why are you on the CPM again?
Back the question at hand i do see advanced and proto getting put in and we need them to stand up to advanced/proto AV
Proto HAV i could see it being like 7low 4/5high for armor and reverse for shield - maybe 3% per lvl for resistances, costs like 10mil HAV lvl 5 and maybe another skill to boot
A real beast of a tank which would require a couple of proto AV users at least to take down |

This is not world of tanks. no but this is a vehicle heavy game and ppl play this for vehicles and infantry not just infantry. all we r asking for is proto vehicles. Plus last i checked WoT is doing better than dust. |

proto swarm launcher 1 million sp 6 rockets 330 each bonus to armor for around 115 - 130 can be increased with weapon mods by like 30 percent
i had to put 6 million into just armor defense skills to get the best armor tank in game neglecting the turret tree almost entirely and recently almost every match there is at least one person with proto AV capable of easily destroying my tank im 3 shots
proto Av players dont even fear tanks or use caution when approaching tanks because they know they can kill it
proto AV especially swarms can just follow you around until your hardeners are down for 30 seconds and your repair is down for 15 and hit you for 3300+ damage a volley
if my tank cant survive that i feel bad for anyone that doesn't have a tank with max defensive systems |

I think I see the problem.
back to the OP CCP doesn't like vehicles to be in balance so there will never be a "proto" HAVs just weaker specialized ones that could be done better with the standard HAVs. |
