If not, I hope they are paying you minimum wage and recruiting people who know the above. Funny, I would never pick game designers or core developers to do the work of a community rep. Not only are their skills needed elsewhere but they'd no doubt suck at it -- different tasks require different skill sets and personalities. To me, running a successful blog on a relevant topic actually suggests the person is qualified for the community rep role (I'd hesitate to hire a lead game designer on that merit alone, or a stonemason, or...).
Fortunately, Nin Ker isn't employed in recruitment. |

I don't know about "more so" but I see some beautiful bans in the futures of those insulting CCP staff. |

I don't know about "more so" but I see some beautiful bans in the futures of those insulting CCP staff. If bans are handed out in this thread due to insulting CCP staff, then pretty much all of the IMPS deserve a 14 day forum ban... Most cases of IMPs (and others) directly insulting CCP staff are met with bans. |

Because her job description more likely requires expertise in social matters, community engagement, communication, liaising with other departments to develop promotional plans and representing CCP as a business at promotional events than it does shooting people in the face?
She's not the person who is going to be rebalancing the TAC AR or writing code to make the aiming system more comfortable so applying those standards seems a little ridiculous.
SoTah Pawp wrote: or has any logical approach to be any good at this game? Whyyyy does she have to be good at this game? I'm not even saying she's good at the aforementioned things, it remains to be seen, but I think you have a flawed impression of what a community rep should know how to do.
SoTah Pawp wrote: What's she going to do? Improve how the female suit walks? Lol While based on the previous error in thinking CCP Mintchip would be working on development, this goes a little further into specifically dismissing her knowledge about anything except things directly related to being a girl... and it's kind of lame, dude. |

These are just the advertised vacancies, disregarding any staff they headhunt or arrange to employee otherwise.
You're making things up. Should CCP Navigator be a GM because he's a community manager? Should Frame be a GM? |

You make a great point - why are these people called developers when they don't develop anything? :O
Because their forum role system is as limited as the one we get for corporations. |

Really? You think her job as a community representative is to speak on your behalf, rather than on CCP's?
