Don't you think that someone with the knowledge and resources to exploit and DDoS the vulnerability in one of Tranq's backend-end services would also have the knowledge and resources to do the same with a seperate Dust server-cluster or with a link server if CCP acted that way?

Thats assuming they cared about Dust at all I think its more likely the DDoS had something to do with EvE, after all I hear some people lost a few titans the other day and disproportionate retribution goes hand in hand with EvE
I highly doubt that anyone would DDoS the servers before GMs have worked through the petitions with regard to reimbursement. ;) |

Come on... Edit: Whenever Dust gets an update Eve is down, as well. It's not as if only you had those so-called "drawbacks". ;) No one will attack Dust 514... This crap only happens in the EvE servers, because CCP encourage Metagaming to an unrealistic level.
Someone could also throw in that someone wanted to show CCP how "crap" Dust 514 is.
There are endless assumptions to be made... *shrug*

I don't know ), and according to the Metagaming rules of engagement, they decided to DDOS attack CCP as a form of "Complaint".
