Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone else is have issues with sensitivity when playing with ps3 controller? I am the sort of player that likes a really low sensitivity but at the moment I am at the lowest of 0 but with a new assault rifle i just got the "Duvolle Tactical Assault Rifle" which has a scope but when i scope in the sensitivity is all over the place.
With me scoped in moving from left to right to aim my sight at someone i will fly way to the right past my target, then i am i try to reconnect it then im past to the left then of-course I then die. so I was just wondering if anyone else has the same issue, what sensitivity do you use on your ps3 controller? or do you use keyboard mouse? |

It's incredibly ridiculous, I've got mine turned all the way down and still in CQC situations I have the issue of spinning way too far when just trying to aim left to right.
I've said this multiple times on this board... I think the issue is intensified on scouts because they naturally turn faster and since I'm a shotty scout it's terribad... You either don't turn or you turn at 100 mph... It needs fixed bad.
The best way I've described it is "slippery", it's not smooth at all and has lead to my demise many times, I'm starting to get used to it but that means a patch to fix it will come soon and I'll have to relearn again. |

i was fine before i changed my assault rifle to one with a scope know I am all over the place, both my sensitivities x - y on 0 0 seems fine when i dont scope in, but as soon as i scope im all over the place, could be something to do with acceleration or something. |

It seems like it is just turn acceleration; it would be nice to have the option to turn it off. |

Yeah, the problem is with the acceleration. It's basically all or nothing.
It's sad that an FPS that was in beta for a year and a half still can't even get basic acceleration right. |

80/80 Is great for me. No issues with aiming, far or close. You just have to be able to get used to it and be... good |

I'm fine generally, it's not till CQC that it gets hairy for me, I don't think you realize how slippery it is till you're face to face with them whether that's in person or in scope.
Edit: for me it is the fact that you're either turning or you're not, there's no feathering a turn and that just sucks because control is the most important while aiming and we don't have any control over how fast you want to turn. |

I play at 100/100 and its still to slow.
WAY too slow. I'm the kind of player that always runs a close range stick and move type character. Recently I've been knifing andsomething Ihave learned is turning around to knife your enemy after they randomly for no damned reason whatsoever step backwards (which happens all the time) and avoids you right as you run up to knife them in the back and fail - it doesn't work. It takes way too damned long to turn 180 degrees and it's unrealistic as it is right now.
In real life I can turn around faster. I'm sure in thousands of years with super high tech body enhancements and with the adrenaline of being about to kill/die, I'd be able to turn around faster than the game currently lets you |

Just slow your aim in cqc. I like how dust has little to no turn acceleration and actually prefer the aiming in uprising as I found chromosome was too sticky. |

first of all turn off assist, withou assist is aim more smooth. After tink with sensitivities and BTW i still thinking mouse and keyboard is best for shooting if there is posibility try it :)
(BTW duvolte is little OP by my side of view :P) |

Now, many times I have played 4 matches with AA on, then 4 with it off. Is it bad that I like Aim Assist on more? |

I want whatever it is you've been smoking. The mouse is screwed up way more than the DS3 is.
In regard to OP, I play with it at 100/100 and it's too slow for my liking. |

I haven't tried messing with aim-assist stuff yet this build, but I know in Chromo it went like this:
Aim-assist on = Better CQC combat, easier to stay on target. But not so great for ADS, doesn't feel right. Aim-assist off = More difficult CQC, end up overshooting targets and struggle to maintain steady 'lock' with strafers. However ADS was amazingly fluid and felt good.
Not sure if it's the same in Uprising, but I think I am going to play with it tonight to see. Overall though, I am not too fond of the aiming in this game. One night the aiming just works, and I have no trouble aiming on a dime in a split second from across the map and holding it whilst strafing. Then other nights, I would be lucky to hit the broad-side of a barn while I stood still.
CCP really needs to give us more control over our aim. Give us optional "advanced" settings to tweak things like acceleration, deadzone, ADS turn speed, hip-fire turn speed etc etc. I am tired of being at the mercy of whatever the devs feel like tweaking with the controls. |

Think of the aim assist as a really weak version seen on the newer call of duty games. It is a very weak lock on which has a range what seems like 2 meters. As soon as you move your crosshair it disengages. What I am saying is that is makes a very little difference and you are not better off using it. |
