What SHOULD have happened is that the conflicts were reverted, ISK refunded, clones moved back to where they came from, and basically a reset. This is how the system was built so that it would be resilient to unexpected downtimes.
It does favor the defender, but it is the best we could come up with to ensure we are fair and consistent. |

You best be. Every post I make gives more chance of people getting me to change my name...
Nah, really though you are welcome. :P |

Or FoxFour will put the name change request in and it'll be rejected.
To be honest, I don't think I even have much control over the whole situation anymore. I was being told over lunch how tempted certain other devs were to just log into our tools and change my dev name. Or possibly slip IA some money and ask them to look away for a few minutes.
While I may be able to convince them to hold off until the 10 million likes, if I tried to get out of it by claiming dev hax... they would just do it anyways. :/
I think I lost this war a long time ago... |

It does favor the defender, but it is the best we could come up with to ensure we are fair and consistent. Can attackers petition to have isk refunded for any successful attacks that where made beforehand? Many corporations had situations where they where already 2 fights into a cargo hub on timers that where only suitable for weekends and because of the downtime all the progress made into taking that district will be nullified. Also stop letting people hijack threads by changing it to counting your likes please.
You can petition to ask, I don't entirely know what the communities team response will be. Chances are they will come to us and ask us for our input. This teams input is that the system acted accordingly for the situation. While it does favor the defenders by letting the system handle it we are fair every time this happens (unexpected or extended downtimes in general). The community team can then act how they feel appropriate. |
