After reading the amount of SP you suggest, i must say no. 36 SP is clearly too much, for it'll allow me access to upgrade a skill from level 1 to level 3, instead of me upgrading from level 1 to level 2 because i was lacking 36 SP. So yes, i support this. |

So yes, i support this. Exactly! I had a long sit down about these figures and my calculations ran across quite a few whiteboards. These seemed to make the most sense.
If i understand you correctly. The 18 Lifetime war points are to balance out the 36 SP gained for those in academy so that they didn't gain SP for nothing. No one should support this. Brilliant calculations and consideration. I'm amazed at how you figured this out so quickly in the time the servers were down. |

And they shouldn't give us a new BPO, they should upgrade our current free LAVs to be the new Speeders that are coming. I don't think you have given it enough thought. Let me post my intricate calculations again so you can appreciate how I got to 18 WP and 36 SP. Grit Breather wrote:I have added an image of my intricate calculations here for everyone's review. And my intricate calculations here say that we should only get 8 SP, 8 WP and a lie.
I see numbers within your calculations that shows that they are flawed. 8x3? Seriously? Use better maths next time. |

While I'm sure we all appreciate CCP's valiant and sleepless efforts to overcome this, we must also acknowledge both games were down. I think we, as a community, should be compensated for this loss. I think every DUST mercenary should be awarded 18 WP and 36 SP. In addition we should all be granted exclusive BPOs to jet placeholders similar to the following. Who's with me? Like this post if you agree! It's a free game you gets nothing noob, EVE on the other hand is a paid subscription so EVE players like myself should get a little something. We lost a half a day and a whole night of legitimate gameplay. My calculations stand and I am adamant we deserve exactly 18 WP and 36 SP. This MUST be met!
He was asking about EVE grit. Though i believe it would perfectly work for EVE pilots. This can't possibly work. 18 WP (somehow?) and 36 SP to a random skill that is set to be trained.
I completely stand by your calculations, for they even work for EVE pilots. |

He may be tricking you. He is only demanding his 36 SP. Where is his demands for 18 WP? Without the 18 WP, your entire solution is flawed. |

I'll start by reminding of the fact that the long downtime period lasted an entire night and half a day. Using those figures in the following formula it is clearly evident that 18 WP are the ideal number for a partial compensation. As is clearly evident, this is only a partial compensation for our torment. Taking the above 18 WP figure and running it through the following fuzzy logic algorithm we quite easily arrive at a figure of 36 SP as the second part of our well deserved compensation. What still remains is the good will gesture from CCP. This, through very exhausting balancing exercises performed throughout the night, could only be achieved by allowing us access to the future jet in the form of a placeholder as I described in my original post. Grit Breather wrote:In addition we should all be granted exclusive BPOs to jet placeholders similar to the following. Best regards fellow forum warriors, May you live long and prosper! As sound as your logic is, if we have the total amount of sp/WP at 42 it provides an answer to the question, which is vastly more important than anything else.
It provides an answer, not a solution. Why can't you see the that 18 WP and 36 SP is the solution we need, not the answer we seek. |
