Weapon is fine as it is but after starting a new character (mostly because I don't want to taint my Gallente soldier with Amarr tech) I found that the Scrambler Rifle was -wrecking ***- for some reason. Couldn't put my finger on it.
At first, thought it's armor damage was way too high as there didn't seem to be any real distinction between shield/armor damage (at first) but taking a look at the efficiency rating, that couldn't be it.
Soooo then I looked at the headshot efficiency.
Shields: 400%
Armor: 300%
Now, for a Scrambler Pistol with 6-12 rounds, that's fine. If you land a headshot with a Pistol, you deserve that kind of damage output.
Buuuut a Scrambler Rifle with it's charge up capabilities, 45 round magazine and high damage might be a bit.. much..maybe..
As such, I think it's reduced damage to armor is overshadowed by the fact that it puts out such a high multiplier to headshots. Heavies being the prime candidate for this as their lower mobility and larger hit box makes them prime subjects for the effects of this.
Suffice to say, I'm honestly not sure about this feedback myself (hence the maybe) but I do want to see what everyone else thinks regarding this. |

I skimmed over it, you're complaining about the damage Scramblers do to headshots, ergo oneshot killing heavies when charged, you asked for other peoples opinions, my opinion is you shouldn't have bothered to write a thread that could possibly have another weapon nerfed.
The Scrambler is fine, don't swear at me, dear. |

Where did you find these numbers?
Because according to this thread, the headshot efficiency for Scrambler Rifles are 180% to shields and 120% to armor. |

I'm not to sure about your efficiency numbers. The last time i checked head shot efficiency was 180%, around 500 damage. I'm going to have to go check this later on but is sound like you confused the scrambler pistol's head shot efficiency for the scrambler rifle's.
You also fail to mention the scrambler rifle's unforgiving heat build up which restricts your rate of fire. Many have tried the scrambler rifle only to turn away because of how punishing the heat build up is.
There have been some threads popping up lately by tactical assault rifle users who are demanding a nerf on the scrambler rifle because they assume that the scrambler rifle is the same as the tactical assault rifle and if their precious rifle has to get nerfed, then so to does the scrambler rifle. But they're not the same; the scrambler rifle requires more skill to use than the tactical assault rifle. Harsh heat buildup, high damage drop off, aiming and kick have to be managed by all who choose to use the scrambler rifle. Tactical assault rifle users pat themselves on the back for just managing aiming and kick. |

Was the efficiency ratings for Scrambler Pistols. My bad.
But, this thread just goes to show that people seriously over-react to even the most modest of "nerf" threads. Instead of correcting me, it became a witch hunt.
Calm down people. Not all of us have the answers in a game so complex as Eve Online/Dust 514.
