It would probably be too late to revise the system on switching to skill book learning rather than being given SP to divide into skills. But I just wonder how this came to be. Why couldn't it work? I think EVE Online's system was better. It's more realistic as you are activating which skills you are learning rather than just throwing SP around like money and suddenly you know something you never knew before, which prompts Tank to say, "Hey Mikey, I think he likes it!" -The Matrix. Maybe players couldn't handle the ADHD they're developing from all the running and gunning and they want it all now. Yeah, I see everybody screaming for respecs all over the forum. How about that old skill tree? I thought it was great, but apparently casual console players couldn't handle that either. Your thoughts? |

I think it would be a good option to have.
1) Current system 2) Eve-like system where Passive SP goes directly into queued skills 2.a) Give an option for this method that directly applies all Active SP gains to the currently training skill |

You asked for some thoughts:
"Mikey LIKES it!!!" - Life Cereal commercial
That old skill sheet (the one that you can still use, is found in the menu still, look around and you'll find it), the changes had nothing to with US casual console players (although I think the jab was more at ps3 users and you are maybe trying to seperate yourself from them and say you are an elite pc user) and more to do with CCP going for big adjustments. Seperating light weapons and drop suits for the gist of most of the changes to the skill tree.
The reason why you are seeing so many people request respecialization is that CCP keeps changing things, and not really making it so a player could make the right decision, without even going into the plainly obvious reason as the SKILLS are not working as described in their description still, almost a month after they were introduced; their is still the fact that they keep changing it, so my specialization needs to adjust.
Skill Books, I don't like the idea. |

Any and all ideas based on "it's how it is done in Eve" are bad and have only made dust worse over the last 14 months of game play. Not to mention since they gave Eve nerds access to dust last august all they have done is QQ for dust to be a sim game not an actual fps. |
