This isn't a whine about roadkills, it's a perfectly viable strategy since you are risking an expensive, irreplaceable piece of hardware that'll cost yo.............That'll cost you NOTHING to replace.
CCP, This isn't eve. You can't just give people free hulls and say, "Because its fitting potential isn't as capable as its costly counterpart, it will not be as viable in combat." Unlike EVE, you can Infact kill a person by 'bumping' them in DUST. Tell me, Should a Gnosiss be able to instant-pop any ship smaller than it, just by flying into it?
It is due to your decision to make their fitting potential limited, that has made their role on the battlefield far more effective, and in some cases, a better choice all together. Why should I spend money, and skillpoints, investing into being an LAV pilot to be able to fit it with proper vehicle mods and such...
If I then need to make sure I am not moving too fast so as my guns can track; putting me in danger in close range situations; If I then need to make sure I have a gunner in my vehicle, and that this gunner is actually capable of aiming the weapon system; If I then need to make sure I do not encounter any AV infantry or else risk losing alot of Isk; If I then need to make sure I do not encounter any HAV/LAV or else lose alot of isk; If I then need to make sure I do not spawn more than a very limited few per match or risk spending more than I earn. If I then need to make sure I do not pilot the LAV in an costly suit, or risk losing even more ontop of any losses.
Tell me, CCP, Why should I spend isk and skillpoints investing into a killing machine I need to be careful with, when I could spend Real Money once and never need to spend isk/skillpoints investing into a killing machine I, Not only don't need others to operate, but have absolutely no need to be careful with?
Blueprint Vehicles; Make them only capable of spawning once or twice per match, I understand they can't be removed since people spent real cash on them;
But CCP, open your eyes. This is what is called Pay2Win. P2W means alot more than "What great item can be bought with real money that can't be bought with ingame money."
The person who paid real cash for an item that will never go away, is now winning the isk war and is drastically help win the ground war by doing nothing else but running over any and all sizes of every type of dropsuit trying to make it to the front lines.
This is a game changing problem. It is now a LIABILITY to use the most primary mode of transportation; Your boots. I mean, unless that is your dream for the direction of the game, CCP. A free vehicle for everybody to traverse the outdoors? |

You must be dry outta fuel then, cause this isn't a cry.
I myself only die to being run over maybe once a day. That's not why I brought this up. |

How it reads.
You know, how it reads, is actually from the perspective of a person questioning "Damn, this is really good. And Cheap. Why is this really good and cheap and easy for me to dominate in?" And not "OMFG I CAN'T TAKE BEING RUN OVER ANY LONGER"
You're a real bright one though arn't ya? By your logic I should stop being a nubcake and just carry around a swarm launcher and AV grenades where ever I go. Though by how strongly you are defending them, I'm just going to have to presume you are one of -Those- people. |

Okay yes, This really is my fault. I should have been EXTRA specific on where I am comming from in this discussion since we've still have grade school kids here.
I play an Amarr Logi using Flux Grenades. I do not have a problem with being ran over by LAVs. My repair tool is capable of locking its target, allowing me to view a full 360 degrees to watch my back.
Again, I do not have a problem dying to them. It's disappointing I need to spell this out for you like this, really just makes you look like a child by how often you keep name dropping your favorite console fps titles aswell.
Again. These are not a threat to me and this is not a thread started by a person who is angry he gets ran over. Are you capable of comprehending that? Must I repeat once more that I am not angry at them for killing me?
And you do understand that hardly anybody listens to voice comms, even over team. I've done PLENTY of yelling at the squad I'm supporting to turn around or move, only for them to continue firing and be ran over from behind.
I'm sure in your little perfect selfcentered world people listen to everything you have to say on the battlefield, but the reality of it is otherwise. You can't have a perfect plan on paper executed just as perfectly. That's what you are telling me to do; Always be in the optimal position/fitting to counter LAVs; To Counter LAVs.
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, you are very correct. I'm not a heavy complaining that my HMG, A weapon made for killing Infantry, can't kill LAV's effectively enough.
However, seeing as your reading comprehension may be lacking, I am not here complaining about how difficult it is to kill an LAV. Have I once said ~Anything~ regarding the ammount of Hitpoints they have, in this entire thread? This is NOT a thread about how difficult it is to kill an LAV; It's not even about how Easy it is to kill in an LAV.
This is a topic about a massive imbalance to risk/reward in a game that's core structure is built around High Risk/High Reward. And right here, we have ourselves a case of No Risk/High
