Id like to get my lady a 30day booster to get her caught up a little and was wondering, if she hits her cap every week which booster would be best, a passive or active? |

If you chose to get a mer pack ( 20 dollars ) You get 40,000 aurum ( you would get 43,000 aurum if it wasnt a pack. ) and a 30 day active booster + a assault rifle basic bpo and other stuff. She can use the 30 day active booster and then 40,000 aurum for another 30 day booster passive or active (28,000 aurum). |

Active Bonus a week: 190,400 (285,600)
Passive Bonus a week: 168,000 (252,000)
Technically speaking, a 7 day booster is the best to use if you can cap out fast as you could use it for 2 Active cycles. Don't play until the weekend, activate booster, cap out, and when the Cap resets, cap out immediately. However I say just get a 30 day booster and play when you want. |

I had no idea you got so much for that pack, why would you not get that if you were in the market for a 30day booster (well i guess i didnt know) thank you very much for that info thats definitely what ill be getting. |

If you actually want to give it to her as a gift, instead of just buying it for her, you could also look into getting the Merc pack from GameStop (assuming your in the US). They sell the original mere pack, the new Merc pack, or, if you want to go for the $50 veteran pack (100k AUR, 1x 30d passive, 1x 30d active, saga BPO, std sniper BPO, militia cal assault BPO), they sell that too . Since all of these as electronic purchases, they'll email you PSN codes after your online purchase, and you can copy those down and surprise her with just the code that she can enter to receive her gift. |

Good question. I can safely say I have a multitude of the SMG blueprints from the previous Mercenary Pack because of the whole "Get 40,000 Aurum for 20 dollars" or "Get Mercenary Pack for 20 dollars that has 40,000 Aurum, 30 day Active Booster, and other stuff."
Not sure why that was done, but it is what it is. |

True. Every "pack", is worth it if you are planning on buying boosters.
The cost of the pack (accounting for the included boosters and the boosters you can buy for AUR), seems like a better deal than just buying AUR straight, and using that for boosters.
Not going to complain and I hope they don't change it, since it also sweetens the deal and gets people to buy items and BPOs that could potentially find their way to the secondary market once it opens up, but for now at least the choice of buying pure AUR vs a "pack" seems clearcut.
