I suggest that each swarm would have a seeking radius, where if the target manages to get out of that radius the swarms lose the lock and start moving forward without tracking anything. Here is a picture to illustrate: http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h450/lolerk53/missileseeking_zps49856503.png
As you can see, the cat is safe, while the dog isn't. If the dog gets out, the missiles lose luck and he is safe.
Also, I suggest reducing missile turn speed by half, as currently there is zero chance of evasion unless there is a wall in the way.
Here are some numbers: Militia Swarm launcher = 50 degrees seeking Standard swarm launcher = 60 degrees seeking Advanced swarm launcher = 75 degrees seeking Proto swarm launcher = 100 degrees seeking |

A actual "smart" missile would just go around anything in its path.

Yeah ah NO! there is plenty of stuff to hide behind in this game. I've seen plenty of HAV, LAV and Tank pilots manage to evade swarms by moving behind a building or wall. I disagree that Swarms are OP. |

I don't know how you keep coming up with this string of bad ideas, but you need to stop posting. |

It's actually a fairly decent idea, but IMO all that needs to happen is for the swarms minimum turn radius to be increased. |

How to fix swarms: increase their damage and speed a bit. That's all. |

Absolutely I lock on and you fly over me I only have a about a second to launch my rockets before I loose my lock and have to 180 to regain lock so yeah I think it's fair the way it is. I do however think some sort of chaff system is warranted at the cost of a high power slot or turret slot. The thing is the lock on's do not last forever and unless the space you are shooting from is very very clear you will more likely than not loose more than a few rockets to buildings while they arc around to chase after their target. we are talking a span of maybe 15-20 seconds from launch to impact. So a decent pilot should have plenty of time to get to cover. Again though I think a chaff system is needed for all vehicles but no a Nerf is not needed for the swarm launcher itself.
