Templars suiciding during matches instead of playing won't get the bonuses for being a Templar.
You need 20K WP to get the suits...and you can't get any from suiciding.
I've played...10 or so games on my Templar character, and have 7K WP (Thanks noob gear vs Proto gear!). Its going to take a LONG time to get to 20K.
EDIT: And just for the jealousy factor...there are 22 (maybe 23) Templars from my corporation |

Remember those 100 players NOT randomly chosen?
Would have been a good idea to find one of the people who chose them and asked to join that way...
Too bad this one wasn't going to hand out Templar spots to people who complain too much... |

Actually...probably would make people complain even more, since there would only be about 10 Templars then |

Too bad this one wasn't going to hand out Templar spots to people who complain too much... I think that Sony gave them out internally. ( or that is what i am betting) I was someone who gave out names. |

Baal Roo wrote:Another brilliant event brought to you by CCP.
This game is so borked that the people chosen for special events would rather sit in the MCC and commit suicide than actually play. Oddly enough, none of the Templars I've met (which is around 20-40 now) have done that... |

Templar Renegade127 wrote:Seen one occasion of qsyncing just so everyone from the corp could get the 2,5m. I don't know why organised proto corps would need that ISK so badly but hey. The accidental queue-syncing is even better...nothing like running into your corp's best in noob gear when you thought they were in another gamemode... |

Using the multiple "MVPs" in your corp to swing influence your way? Who'd've thunk it? I sense a tad bit of jealousy Ogre. Perhaps bitter that your guys weren't the ones given the opportunity?
You could have asked to be on the list; maybe someone would have given you a chance...
Or maybe not, with the attitude you have... |

These people should have their free gear stripped and new templars should be selected. This is why I was so disappointed not to have been selected. I'm a huge Amarr fan, would have loved the opportunity to RP and an Amarri Templar and not bitched an moaned about the gear you get simply because I understood you are supposed to be RPing a faction based soldier gone rogue. Sad thing about this event was that no one gets anything worth having. 2.5 Million ISK- to most players isn't worth jack **** 300 standard Amarr suits (that aren't even Templar suits?) This would have been the thing worth having, but since they aren't even the specialised Templaar suits you could go and buy 300 on the cheap. The suits are A/1 advanced suits not standard. The A/1 assault is what I use most Great Public match suits, definitely. Not nearly as expensive as Proto, but still do the job a lot better than Standard. |
