Sprinting? Fair enough.
Weapon switching? Only if you take extra damage because you're letting the super-heated weapon barrel hit your suit by not holding onto it.
Melee? Sure. And use a different animation hitting the enemy with the barrel. Deal bonus damage, but also extends the cooldown so you spend longer unable to fire. |

Or make your character run faster when you sprint while overheating to balance the OPness out. Also You need to take damage when you overheat like the laser rifle and shorten the overheat time. Therefore letting you melee instead of being a sitting duck. |

How to fix the scrambler rifle and laser rife: Nerf the TAC AR. It is too strong at both extreme and intermediate ranges. And THEN see what they need to be competative. Small incremental changes. That is how you balance games. |

Last I checked there wasn't really anything wrong with the Scrambler Rifle.
Except that it's meant to be a medium range weapon and it's currently mostly a close range weapon, but other than that it doesn't really need anything. |

The regular scrambler rifle, not the assualt variant, is basially a Tac AR for a lower skill requirement. I believe it does almost the same amount of damage as a Tac AR, less total ammo than it, a greater clip than the Tac AR, not the rate of fire though, and it even has a charge which multiplies the damage! To bad there is no scope. But what makes the scrambler rifle a srambler rifle is its overheat. if you get to the higher teirs they have less overheat build up. I just don't understand why people think its overpowered. After all the builds we had, we are used to Gallente AR so it'll be difficult to adjust to the Amarr SR.
Also I noticed this, Amarrians like to kill themselves with there own weapons due to overheat damage.![Smile](https://forums.dust514.com/Images/Emoticons/ccp_smile.png)
All in all the scrambler rifle is balanced and controlled. Except for the overheat limitation issues |

it would be nice to be able to sprint back into cover insted of being stuck waddleing in the open because my gun got a bit too hot.
as far as range, either a hair more than AR's or at the very least equal to. |
