No they do not get to keep them, and if ccp does not change the stats or fittings a little.. they probably won't sell very many of them packs to dust players. The elite pack suits and closed beta skinweaves I got put these templars to shame. And I almost bought it, the only thing now in that $150 second decade pack I want is gold pod for eve..if I ever get to play it again.. damn gaming pc broke. The next thing would be the book which i'm sure will go on sale individually once released, for like 40 bucks or so. |

WORSE. The Scrambler Pistol in the video has militia fitting (20 CPU 5 PG). So, you can pay $150 in the fall to get another version of the militia scrambler pistol.  |

As a note to anyone reading this first. The collector's edition comes with more than just the DUST items. It is primarily a physical pack with some EvE/Dust digital bonuses included. It includes a board game that first started CCP as a company (and my understanding was never translated to english before? might be wrong), a hardback of the history of EvE up till Dust, and a Minmatar Rifter statue/USB hub. Also a tin casing, soundtrack, and some sort of mystery code.
Then some eve items including some ships and 60 days of EvE time. |

They should of given the templars more SP, like 10-15 million, and a few million ISK to start out. As it stands I have already killed 3 templars in one match so for me the event is over. And they really were pushovers. |

I think the reasoning behind giving us less SP was to make the event viable for new players (who can actually use the extra 2.5 million ISK). By the time I earned enough ISK to use all my 2m SP I was no super soldier but doing alright for a guy running all standard gear.
I think the event backfired a bit because CCP hyped the idea of Templars displaying the glory of the rare/unreleased BPOs. A lot of people were expecting to pubstomp as Templars or something I guess. Had CCP played up the fact that you would very much be the hunted and running around with standard dropsuits and weapons... Who am I kidding, people would have still been disappointed.
I think the gear is fine. I wouldn't recommend people buy the EVE box set to get them but I'm sure some EVE players will buy it and use them or sell the codes for the items. |
