This found on the EVE timeline entry about Molden Heath show mercenaries weilding weapons not seen before i previous concept art.
Medium dropsuit merc crouching on right is holding a mystery weapon, smoke may be emitting from it (or could just be the background). Medium dropsuit merc on the left crouching is holding a rifle of some kind. It isn't the combat rifle, and isn't the rail rifle (I carefully examined them to make sure it isn't). merc standing on the far left is holding a rifle with a thing on the end top part of the gun not found in any other gun previously seen. |

Osbor robsO wrote:seems to be the minmatar concept art, or something i think CCP's design for the minmatar weapons was to make them all based on one central barrel and trigger. basically the minmatar SMG is the "core" of the other minny weapons so the minny assault rifle is just the smg with a long barrel and a stock and a big magazine the minny sniper rifle has a very long barrel, stock, and a small clip only exception seem to be the HMG there was some concept are depicting this a while ago, where is it? edit; here it is http://www.blackpalette.com/wp-content/gallery/artworks/smg_modelsheet1200x2133.jpgthe basic from is mostly just the trigger, but you can see the design reflected in the mass driver if you look at the trigger area The combat rifle (SMG turned AR) is not the mystery weapon I was talking about, the medium in the middle is using it, but not the one crouching to the left, not the one crouching to the right, nor the one standing on the far left. These ones were not seen before in the black palette concept arts. |

though the right hand suit does not appear to be the standard minmatar medium frame, note the right knee(left hand side when viewed) appears to be different from the standing medium frame holding the rifle.
pure speculation, but perhaps thats not a medium frame at all, making it capable of wielding an HMG Yes, HMG is Minmatar. Minmatar weapons: SMG, HMG, mass driver, flaylock pistol, combat rifle (soon).
It is indeed medium frame on the right, you can tell by the helmet. That weapon he is holding might be based off the HMG, but definitely isn't a heavy weapon judging by the size. |

Which is funny, cause we asked for it to be a heavy weapon and Amarr Holy crap, I just noticed the cord coming from the handle of the gun. I really hope its a flamethrower, would explain the smoke. |

They showed the other heavies in concept art at this year's Fanfest. |

For such scifi weapons developed independently from our real life weapons after the dark ages of the EVE gate collapse, the weapons look boringly conventional, even by our standards. I want to see more weird looking weapons with bullpup and other magazine placements, etc. |

If you mean the Minmatar combat rifle, than no. The magazine is in the handle, that is different. |
